A collection of work is created periodically (every 2-3 weeks) as requested by the lecturers and
submitted as a set by the end of Friday dated December 22, 2023. Each portfolio task is on one page
or two pages of a sheet of A4-sized paper, and it is either handwritten or printed.
The sequence of your answer should be as follows:
 Portfolio Task 1: Choose one topic and set your SMART goals for your
individual presentation.
 Portfolio Task 2: Search and validate ONE source for your presentation.
 Portfolio Task 3: Take notes of the source for your presentation and write a short summary
(50-80 words).
 Portfolio Task 4: Read a source for your presentation, take notes, and use critical thinking to
give your opinion or make questions individually.
 Portfolio Task 5: Read a text about a situation and try to give solutions to the problems.

Portfolio Task 1 - SMART goals for presentation


Topic: Critical thinking
SMART goals: I want to get an A+ in this presentation and enhance decision-making skill for my
knowledge at university.
A detailed SMART formula is explained belowl:
1. Specific: I want to know overview of critical thinking, including its definition, key
components, and importance in decision-making
2. Measurable: I will present at least 2 practical techniques that can be applied to improve
critical thinking skills in various contexts.
3. Achievable: Know how critical thinking can be applied to real-life scenarios, fostering an
understanding of its practical application at university to improve my grades.
4. Relevant: Discuss the benefits of effective critical thinking, such as improved decision-
making, and enhanced problem-solving abilities.
5. Time-bound: I think that mastering a skill can take a lot of time. With my previous
experience, I think it takes about 1 semester or 1 school year to master critical thinking skills.
