Dear Danish
Congratulations and welcome to Brighton! We’re very happy to offer you a place with us as follows:
You’ll need to log into your applicant area and follow the instructions on the ‘Make a decision on your offer’ page.
We would also like to ask you to make sure that you have read our main terms and conditions. Your offer is subject to
these and it’s important that you understand the key points. You can find them here. We know this might be a lot to take
in so there’s a summary of the key terms included too. We advise you to download a pdf of your terms and conditions
for your reference.
You can find all the most up-to-date information about your course on our website: www.brighton.ac.uk/courses. Our
courses are reviewed regularly and may be enhanced and updated. If anything changes for your course then we’ll send
you a notification to log into your applicant area for more details.
Finally, remember that you will need to provide evidence of meeting all the conditions of your offer at least one month
before the start date of your course. You can use your applicant area to message us and submit all your documentation.
Accommodation options
If you need accommodation for the duration of your course then you can find details on our
website: www.brighton.ac.uk/living-here.
We are so pleased you have applied to join us and we hope you will accept our offer. If you have any questions you can call us at
any time on 01273 644644; we're here to help you prepare for your university journey. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Yours sincerely
We’ve classified you as an international student for fee purposes based on the information provided in your application.
If you think this is incorrect please message us immediately with full details of your circumstances. Information on
how international fee status is assessed is available here: www.ukcisa.org.uk.
Our fees are reviewed annually and as an international student your tuition fees are subject to a maximum annual
increase of the higher of 5% or the UK RPI measure of inflation. International students are required to pay a deposit of
£3,000 before a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number can be issued, if required.
For more information on international fees, scholarships that you could apply for, and how to pay your deposit, please
visit: www.brighton.ac.uk/international.
If your current IELTS (or equivalent test) does not meet these minimum grades we offer a wide range of pre-sessional
and Extended Masters courses which can be taken as an alternative to retaking IELTS. Full details can be found
at www.brighton.ac.uk/learnenglish., or contact us at [email protected], making sure to include your student
number and a scan of your latest IELTS.
Visas
If you are a national of a country from outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), you will be required to make an
immigration application in order to obtain permission (a visa) to come to the UK to study at the University of Brighton,
unless you already have an appropriate form of immigration permission. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the
correct visa to study at this institution. If you are a national of a country that is in the EEA, or a Swiss national, you
will also need to make an immigration application in order to obtain permission to come to the UK to study, unless you
have already applied to the UK’s EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) and been granted Pre-Settled or Settled Status or have
another appropriate form of immigration permission.
The University of Brighton is registered as a licenced sponsor under the Student route. If you will require a
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number in order to make a Student visa application, you will need to
complete our CAS questionnaire; a link for this will appear on the visa information tab in your applicant area once your
offer of a place is unconditional and you have firmly accepted this offer. It is essential that you apply for your CAS
promptly. Please refer to to our advice on the application process for relevant deadlines.
Please note you will be required to meet specific Home Office requirements in order to be eligible for a CAS number.
If you are unable to meet the specific requirements this may regrettably affect our ability to issue you with a CAS
number for a Student visa, which could impact upon your ability to study with us. For further information please refer
to our website: www.brighton.ac.uk/immigration.
