Discuss why attachment is important in childhood and how it might influence one’s relationships
in adulthood
Attachment is essential in childhood since it enables children to have a robust bond with
their caregivers. A child receive comfort from a caregiver which enables him to develop a sense
of safety, can control stress, fell motivated, and get advice that help him grow physically,
socially and ,mentally. Attachment enables a child to develop resilience where he becomes
flexible to any environment. Attachment influences individuals relationship in adult since he is
capable to withstand difficulties and is flexible to any surrounding; therefore, making him
competent. Attachment forms a robust foundation for social, emotional skills which shapes the
future of an individual and relationship with other people. An individual is capable of learning
from his colleagues and neighbors the same way he used to learn from caregiver; therefore,
developing a strong bond with other individuals.
Considering my own attachment which is secure, affect my relationships by providing a
strong foundation to learn from others, be flexible in any relationships and capability to
withstand difficulties in relationships. Safety attachment promotes confidence where I’m capable
of talking to my friends and partners without any fear. Safety attachment enables me to develop
secure relationships which foster my progress in life. It makes me socialize with trusted
colleagues who make my life secure. Secure enables me feel safety in close relationships since
there is a feeling of secure and stable relationships. Likewise, secure attachment has helped me
to trust my partners, eliminate fear; therefore, promoting happiness in my relationships. Some of

the instances where secure attachment style influenced my behaviors is when I developed trust to
with my colleagues and did not feel they can hurt me. I also feel secure with my class met friends
since I create a since of secure when relating to them. I feel comfortable telling to both male and
female friends due to secure attachment.
My personal traits of being extroversion enables me to be open when communicating to
my friends and had promoted trust and understanding. My openness trait enables me to share
information and problems with friends and also to seek forgiveness where I wrong my friends.
This trait has strengthened my relationship with my friends and other individuals who feel
confidence in relating to me. My trait of being diligence enables me to have persistence and
continue to work with my colleagues. I tend to acknowledge challenges in any relationship and
struggle to maintain a positive relation. Specific traits that have impact in my relationships
encompass openness which enables me talk free to my friends and colleagues, learn from them
and appreciate their contributions in the relationship. Diligence is another trait that has
significant impact in my relationships since it enables me to be persistent and withstand
difficulties. Extroversion is also one of the most essential traits that have impact in my
relationship it promotes confidence and enable me to be friendly; therefore, resulting to long-
lasting relationships.

 Domain 1: Workplace
Personality traits such as openness improve interaction with colleagues and job
satisfaction since it promotes sharing of information which might be essential in job
performance. Furthermore, personal traits communication promotes fluency in expressing ideas;
therefore, promoting understanding. Fluency in communication enables all the workers to
understand the message and instructions, which results in efficiency in job performance.
Likewise, regular communication is essential in ensuring workers adjust to changes at the work
place. Communication promotes democratic leadership where a leader shares information to all
members which encourages hard work. Regular feedback strengthens team work since there is
feedback on the team progress which improves job performance. Personality trait such as
diligence promotes persistent, careful and attentive at work place which promotes good
performance.
Individuals understand their own personality traits to increase their outcomes through
evaluation of their personal traits such as communication openness and persistence to enable
them find new ways of solving challenges in the relationship at work place. They seek
communication feedback from their leaders and colleagues to maintain good relationship and
achieve set goals at work place. Individuals at work place use their previous experiences to
embrace traits such as communication, openness and persistence which helps them to maintain
good relationship and improve outcome.

Personality trait such as openness strengthens interpersonal relationships such as
friendships, romantic relationships and family relationships. Openness enables partners and
friends in relationships to trust each other since it provides an opportunity to share concerns and
solve any challenges that might happen in relationships. Personality trait of extroversion supports
openness since it enables free exchange of ideas which strengthens relationships. Personality trait
of persistence enables romantic partners, friends and family members withstand difficulties in
relationships. Persistence enables romantic partners and friends to progress with relationships
even during difficult times.. They provide emotional support as an approach to strengthen their
relations.
Individuals reflect of their previous experiences with their personal traits such as
openness, communication, persistence and extroversion to strengthen their friendship
relationships, romantic relationship and family relationship. They embrace open communication
to improve their relationship. Furthermore, they evaluate personal traits to enable them to apply
these traits in their friendship and romantic relationships. Regular feedback is essential to
promote progress and provide a platform to solve any concerns.
