EVALUATION AND PATIENT INTERVIEW


DIAGNOSIS: SECOND DEGREE SPRAIN

Doctor: Hello, good day, how are you?


Patient: Good morning, Doctor, I came here because my right ankle hurts.
Doctor: what happened to him?
Patient: I fell while playing basketball and my ankle hurts, I can't walk well and it's very swollen.
Doctor: I'm going to inspect it.
Patient: Thank you, I feel a lot of pain.

Patient: No, no other problem.
Doctor: Have you had any serious or chronic illness?
Patient: When I was 20 years old, I suffered from mild migraines.
Doctor: Do you have any current health problems, such as diabetes or high blood pressure?
Patient: I haven't had any problems.
Doctor: Are you on any current medical treatment?
Patient: Not for now.
Doctor: Have you been on medication lately?
Patient: I only take vitamins
Doctor: Are they prescribed by a practitioner or self-administered?
Patient: They are under prescription
Doctor: Do you have any allergies to medications such as NSAIDs?
Patient: Yes, I have an allergy to tramadol, It's a pain medication
Doctor: Do you have any major heart or respiratory disease?
Patient: In my medical evaluations they have never found any condition.
Doctor: Are you aware of any hereditary disease in your family?
Patient: My father suffers from high blood pressure.
Doctor: Have you had any problem related to hypertension?
Patient: No, no problem.
Doctor: Have you had any major surgical medical intervention?
Patient: Just an appendix surgery without any complications.
Doctor: Regarding your accident, have you had any similar accident?
Patient: It's not the first time it's happened to me.
Doctor: How does the pain present itself? It is like a compression or a stitch in the affected area.
Patient: Especially as a compression.
Doctor: Do you have any musculoskeletal problem?
Patient: If I have a calcium deficiency for that reason, I take prescription vitamins.
Doctor: Thank you very much for the information, we will take into account which medication is
appropriate for your pain, and we will carry out the tests to proceed with the appropriate treatment.
