Go to three of your basic education teachers and respectfully ask for a copy of their lesson
plan. Carefully examine their lesson plan and make a report about their best features.

TEACHER REPORT ON BEST FEATURES OF A LESSON PLAN


1 Emphasis on hands-on, visual learning. By incorporating fraction
manipulatives and visual representations, such as fraction bars or
circles, students are given concrete tools to help them grasp abstract
mathematical concepts. This approach promotes active engagement
and understanding as students can physically manipulate the
fractions and visually compare their sizes. Additionally, the lesson
plan encourages collaborative problem-solving and discussion,
allowing students to share their reasoning and learn from their peers.
Overall, the use of visual representations enhances the learning
experience, making complex mathematical concepts more
accessible and meaningful for elementary school students.

2. By incorporating a variety of physical activities and fitness stations,


the lesson plan actively engages students in hands-on experiences
that promote physical fitness and skill development. This approach
not only reinforces the importance of staying active but also allows
students to actively practice and apply what they've learned in a fun
and interactive way. Additionally, the lesson plan integrates

it hits me because it so hard to create the old curriculum lesson plan.

Making lesson plans is considered a mandate in the field of education for several important
reasons,lesson plans is a mandate in education because it promotes alignment with
curriculum standards, effective teaching and learning, assessment, differentiation, time
management, professional development, legal requirements, and consistency in instruction.
By prioritizing lesson planning, teachers can enhance the quality of education and support the
academic success of their students.

-The essence of lesson planning lies in providing a roadmap for effective teaching and
learning. It helps me clarify my objectives, organize my materials, and anticipate potential

The main purpose of lesson planning is to organize what and how you will teach, so students
can learn better.
2. Was it easy during your first years of teaching? What did you do to cope with the
challenges?
- No, it wasn't easy at first. I felt overwhelmed by the amount of content to cover and
struggled with time management. To cope, I sought guidance from more experienced
colleagues, attended professional development workshops on lesson planning, and gradually
developed my own strategies for effective planning and implementation.
No, it was tough. I asked other teachers for advice, went to training sessions, and kept
improving my plans.

3. What tips can you share to undergraduate learners who are about to start writing a lesson
plan?
- My advice would be to start with clear learning objectives and tailor your lesson activities to
achieve those objectives. Keep the needs and interests of your students in mind, and don't be
afraid to be creative in your approach. Also, always have a backup plan in case things don't
go as expected. And finally, don't hesitate to seek feedback from your peers and supervisors
to continuously improve your lesson planning skills.
Decide what you want students to learn, break the lesson into easy parts, use different
teaching methods, and always have a backup plan.

1. What is the most difficult part of classroom management?


Classroom management is hard. And each class period has its own unique personality so that
what works for one class does not work for another. The best things we can do for ourselves
is, cliche as it is, be consistent and follow through. If the rule is no phone, then there’s no
phone and there are consequences. If the rule is no eating, then no eating. Make sure that your
class rules make sense for the content area and the demographic. (Eg- if you say no cell
phones, what is the rule about smart watches?)

2. Have you encountered misbehaviors? What did you do to correct them?


The best way to handle such students is by giving them positive instructions when trying to
correct their endless noise making, while concurrently doing your best to avoid adverse
instructions. Instead of using the typical “no talking” strategy, you should direct your
instructions to these specific students by instructing them to “remain silent”. You should then
follow up your request with a “thank you” for you to indicate that you acknowledge your
request’s been adhered to. In case the talking happens while you’re in the middle of teaching
or addressing the class, the best solution is to stop talking. By doing so, you will have brought
to life a reminder to your students that you are in charge and should be listening to you rather
than talking among themselves.

3. What advice can you give to preservice teachers to enhance their classroom management
skills?
I can give the advice for preservice teacher to enhance their classroom management skills are
always ready yourself and present your mind and also be patient, and study your lesson plan.

teachers. Depending on your specialization, select a topic from the curriculum guide. Prepare
a lesson plan using the concepts learned. You can use the format of your teachers.
