**What Should We Do to Keep Fit?

**

As a student of class 11A4, I am here today, role-playing as an expert, to share some

practical advice on how to maintain good health. The recent debate surrounding the
issue of people becoming unhealthy raises important concerns. Let’s first consider the
reasons for this trend.

“Before we get into the reasons, let’s check out the video we’ve put together”

### Reasons for Becoming Unhealthy

At this critical time, many of us have shifted to working from home, staying away
from social gatherings, and practicing social distancing. While these measures are
necessary, they have led to more sedentary lifestyles. We are now more prone to
physical inactivity, unhealthy eating habits, and prolonged sitting. Furthermore, stress,
anxiety, and depression have become more prevalent. As a result, many people have
gained weight, which could lead to long-term health risks such as type 2 diabetes,
hypertension, heart disease, and stroke.

As you saw in the video, Bảo often eats unhealthy foods like canned goods or spicy
foods, which have caused him stomach problems. On top of that, he has a habit of
staying up late and not eating nutritious meals, which makes him look skinny. On the
other hand, his younger brother Đăng eats well and gets enough sleep, so he has a fit
and healthy body.

So, the main reason for being unhealthy comes down to an unhealthy lifestyle, which
includes your diet, habits, and even your work.

### Solutions to Stay Fit

1. **Maintaining a Balanced Diet**

A balanced diet is essential for overall health. According to a pie chart analysis
provided by nutrition experts, our weekly intake should include a variety of key food
groups. The chart suggests the following proportions: 40% of our diet should come
from vegetables and fruits, providing essential vitamins and fiber. About 25% should
consist of whole grains such as brown rice and oats, which are a rich source of energy.
Protein sources, including lean meats, fish, beans, and legumes, should make up 20%
of the diet. The remaining 15% can come from healthy fats like nuts, seeds, and olive
oil, which are vital for brain function and cell health.

This breakdown emphasizes the importance of whole foods over processed ones, as
they offer more vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients. Preparing home-cooked
meals, especially when it comes to meats and vegetables, ensures a balanced intake
and helps avoid the unhealthy additives found in processed and canned foods.

2. **Prioritizing Sleep**
Sleep is crucial for bodily functions, as it allows cells to repair and energy to be
restored. To improve sleep quality, it is advised to limit the use of electronic devices
that emit blue light before bedtime. Techniques such as meditation and yoga can help
calm the mind, leading to a deeper and more restful sleep. Adopting good sleep habits
also prevents disruptions to your biological clock, ensuring you wake up feeling
refreshed.

3. **Staying Hydrated**
Drinking enough water each day is essential for maintaining good health. While
water plays an important role in regulating body temperature, aiding digestion, and
supporting the proper functioning of organs, staying hydrated doesn't have to be
complicated. There are simple tips to help develop good hydration habits. For
example, many people now use water bottles with built-in reminders or alarms that
encourage regular drinking throughout the day. Additionally, creating a habit of
drinking a glass of water in the morning and before meals can help ensure consistent
hydration.

4. **Engaging in Regular Exercise**

Physical activity is vital for preventing chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke,
diabetes, and osteoporosis. Regular exercise also helps manage weight and boosts
mental well-being. Building a balanced exercise routine, whether through walking,
jogging, or engaging in sports, can significantly contribute to maintaining a healthy
body.

5. **Regular Health Checkups**

Ensuring overall health requires routine checkups with medical professionals,
including primary care physicians, dentists, and eye doctors. Regular monitoring of
your health can help detect and prevent serious conditions early on, allowing for
timely interventions.

**Conclusion**
In conclusion, staying fit requires a combination of a balanced diet, regular exercise,
proper hydration, adequate sleep, and regular health checkups. By following these
guidelines, we can all maintain a healthy lifestyle and reduce the risk of developing
serious health conditions in the future.
