NOTES:
1. Consider all Feed lines >= 6”.
2. Consider force & moment for the largest process nozzle in the bottom 1/3 portion of the col-
umn length for only Vacuum column, Distillation column & big size of nozzle like reboiler re-
turn line etc. (Force & moment is 1/3 of nozzle allowable load)
3. Overhead pipe size 24” and above hydrostatic test philosophy shall be discussed with PP.
4. Piping loads for nozzles above 24” shall be obtained from PP.
5. Confirmation of PP shall be obtained on above piping load.
6. Piping loads on platform shall be obtained from PP.
7. For vessels with skirt height >= 5 mts, additional platform of 1000mm of 90deg to be consid-
ered every 5 mts. (min. 1 nos.).
8. For vessels with skirt height >= 5 mts, additional length of skirt (Skirt length - 5mts) to be con-
sidered for load calculation (Refer below example) :
Example:
If Column or Vessel is having 24m TL-TL & 8m Skirt Height.
Length to be considered for calculating weight of the pipe= (24+ (8-5))/2= (24+3)/2=13.5m.

In case where PSV loads (i.e reaction forces due to PSV pop up) are considered seismic shall not be
considered as both will not act simultaneously. (Reaction forces of PSV shall be obtained from
PP).
In case of unavailability of the load combination in ITB documents, refer loading condition for static equip-
ment.(Refer attachment-“LOADING CONDITIONS FOR STATIC EQUIPMENT”)
Refer note no. 9 of loading conditions of static Equipment & also refer Methodology of considering vertical
Reboiler on the Column design.
