WATER
- symbolizes interior purification
because of its cleansing power
and limpid purity

immersion, aspersion and
pouring

- the Light of Christ is passed on
to us in a candle
- we are called to be the light of
Christ in the world and we are
asked to keep that light burning
brightly by our daily practice of
the faith

EFFECTS OF BAPTISM
- by Baptism all sins are forgiven
- after one has been reborn in Christ, there

Kingdom.

PURPOSE OF BAPTISM
- It is an act of obedience symbolizing the
believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and
risen Saviour, the believer's death to sin,
the burial of the old life, and the
resurrection to walk in newness of life in
Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to the
believer's faith in the final resurrection of
the dead.
