    DENSITY BASED TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM WITH


    EMERGENCY LANE AND SMART FOOTPATH WAY

    Introduction
    Bangladesh is a densely populated country. For this huge population people are facing
    different types of problems in their day-to-day life. One of the most common problem is
    waiting in the traffic signals for hours. For this problem often people can’t reach in their
    work place or destination in time. Often we see ambulance or fire brigade stuck in traffic
    signal . Riders ride their bike on footpath is a worst situation in Dhaka . So passerby suffer a
    lot often for the bikers. For those problem we need a better solution. A beautifully control
    traffic system can solve this problem easily. That’s why we choose a project which can make
    a system and solve this problem. The system must be used to control the traffic lights for
    smooth and safe movement of traffic.

     What is traffic signal?
     A traffic signal, or stoplight as it is also known, controls vehicle traffic passing through the intersection of two
    or more roadways by giving a visual indication to drivers 
     Crossroads traffic signals
     Traffic signals: Green(go),Yellow(standby/warning)and Red(stop)
     Sequence: A>B>C>D

    Density wise Traffic control

     Automatic traffic signal works only when there are similar kind of traffic in every
    road or pathway, but what will be the situation if one or two roads have high
    density on the signals?
     A high density road needs more time to get cleared.
     For these we brought a new feature in our project to measure the density of the
    road
    Emergency pathway for
    emergency cases
     Emergency pathways are for the emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire brigade,
    police car etc.
     When there is any emergency cases the traffic control box will get the signal and
    the traffic police will then control the traffic signal and clear a line quickly for the
    emergency vehicle.
     It will be done via Bluetooth signal that is the traffic police will control it with the
    an android operator.
     After the emergency problem is solved the traffic signal will work as before.
    Smart Footpath way

     Footpath are pathways for the passersby to have safe walk.


     Used only by the people and not other form of traffics like motorbike, cycles or
    any other vehicles.
     Due to density in signals sometimes the motorbikes had a tendency of driving
    their bikes on the pavement which is great problem for the passersby .
     The solution to this problem is the thermal sensor which will give signal when a
    bike on the pavement.
     It will be a threat for the bikers.
    Conclusion

    As Bangladesh is small country with a large population we have many problems in


    our daily life. A poor traffic system is one them. We are trying to a give a small
    contribution for solving this problem. We hope our project ‘’Density based Traffic
    System’’ will be able to minimize the problem.
