South Sulawesi province. Makassar
is the largest metropolitan city in the
Eastern Indonesia region and in the
past was the capital of the State of
East Indonesia and the Province of
Sulawesi.
Makassar City consists of 15 district
and 153 villages. In 2017, this
district has an area of 199.26 km²
and a population of 1,663,479
people with a population distribution
of 8,348 people / km²
TOURISM IN MAKASSAR
Makassar is a large city located in South Sulawesi. As a tourist
destination, you may not be too popular compared to other
destinations. Even though this city has a myriad of uniqueness and
beauty in it. You can explore as a whole in every corner of the city.
At first glance, the city of Makassar is indeed more famous for its
various culinary offerings that are well known to the Indonesian people
in general. However, you need to know that this place has a lot of
tourist destinations, both local scale and international taste. Whether
it's natural tourism, educational tours or even historical tours in this
city.

LOSARI BEACH
Location
Fort Somba Opu were built to prepare Makassar against the expected Dutch
attack in 1615. Somba Opu was the commercial capital of Makassar, while
the old Gowa was a ceremonial center for inaugurations or burials. In the
1630s, kings and nobles established their residence in Somba Opu, staying in
a house built on thick pillars.
Akkarena beach not only offers beautiful beaches, but it also offers a variety of
facilities, including playgrounds (with seesaw, swings and sliding boards),
restaurants and a park.This park is called Akkarena Tanjung Bunga, which was
built in an area of 12 hectares and is usually open from 7:00 am until midnight.
In the park restaurants and warungs serve local and international food and drinks
and live music is performed here in the evening.You can do various water sports
and various games such as banana boat, jet sky, and drive ATV bike, but you can
also just relax, enjoy the breeze and the beautiful Akkarena beach.
