• National Agricultural Research Projects (NARP) now under non-plan/plan budget of the State
Government
• National Agricultural Technology Projects (NATP) funded by the World Bank through ICAR
• Farm Science Mela / Farmers’ Fair / Kisan Mela etc. at Research Institutes
/ SAUs where Farmers, Extension Agency and Scientists meet, interact,
get feedback and learn from each other
• Field Day, Diagnostic Team field visit
• Research and Extension Education Councils of SAUs in which there
are representatives of line extension departments and farmers and
university scientists
• Kharif and Rabi Workshops organized by the State Department of
Agriculture in which Agricultural Scientists, Extension Staff and
farmers participate
• Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) under NATP
• State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute
under NATP (SAMETI)
• Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) under NATP.
ROLE AND FUNCTIONING OF KRISHI VIGYAN
KENDRA
• KVK has a farm of about 20 hectares (in some cases less than 20 hectares
also) meant for imparting practical experiences learning by doing.
