Judy performed with her sisters in a trio known as “The Gumm Sisters”. They changed their name to “The Garland Sisters” and Frances changed her first name to Judy.

Judy’s life took a turn for the worst only 9 years after “The Wizard of Oz” made her into a household name. She was replaced on films due to her erratic behavior and inability to stay sober during shooting. She was married 5 times. She died at the age of 47 from an accidental drug overdose.
