Vivek Ramaswamy vs. MAGA? DOGE Co-Chief's Remarks On 'American Workers' Criticized By Nikki Haley And Laura Loomer
Republican member and Department Of Government Efficiency co-chief Vivek Ramaswamy recently faced heavy criticism after making remarks about American culture and workers. In a post on X, he stated, "The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over ‘native’ Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation)."

He continued, "A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture. Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer)."
Ramaswamy’s comments sparked reactions from fellow Republican Nikki Haley and far-right influencer Laura Loomer.
Haley's Response To Ramaswamy
Haley criticized Ramaswamy’s views in a cryptic post on X, saying, "There is nothing wrong with American workers or American culture. All you have to do is look at the border and see how many want what we have. We should be investing in and prioritizing Americans, not foreign workers."
The two have clashed publicly before, with Ramaswamy previously calling Haley a "fascist" during an NBC GOP debate, a comment that earned him boos from the audience.
Laura Loomer’s Response To Ramaswamy
Far-right influencer Laura Loomer also condemned Ramaswamy, targeting his support for highly trained workers from India. In an inflammatory X post, Loomer referred to Indians as "third-world invaders" and claimed that they have low IQs.
Loomer has been particularly vocal since President-elect Donald Trump’s recent nomination of Indian-American businessman Sriram Krishnan as a senior policy adviser for AI. She has spent days on social media venting her frustration over Krishnan’s support for H-1B visas facilitating Indian immigration.
