Something a little bit different from your common or garden Premier Inn, the
"Hub" version of a Premier Inn has the same ubiquitous cleanliness as its
bigger sibling - with rooms on a much smaller scale. The Premier Inn Hub
can be found in London at the moment, with Edinburgh soon to be added.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Covent Garden Premier Inn Hub and
found it an excellent way of staying in the heart of the West End - without breaking the bank.
Let me cut to the chase, and tell you about the room. The whole point of a "Hub", as opposed
the standard Premier Inn, is the minimising of space used. This means more rooms can be squeezed into the
building, therefore keeping prices down - and at £69 for a room in central London, the price is definitely
kept down. Although if you're the proud owner of a cat, you may well want to leave it at home because is
no room to be swinging it about.
You walk into the room and everything is kept to a minimum there is a shower room, a double bed, and
a flat screen TV on the wall. With enough of a gap to walk down the side of the room. This makes the room sound
a bit stark - it isn't. What it is, is small. Everything is modern, the shower is lovely. And the large TV is a Smart TV - with
all the additions that brings. There's even charging ports on the wall to plug your plug into.
One thing you may miss is the tea & coffee making facilities - there aren't any in the room. Although free tea and coffee facilities are
available in the face on the ground floor. If you don't mind trooping down to make a cup of tea in the morning that's fine!
The Premier Inn Hub at Covent Garden - a cheap way of staying in central London
Location of Covent Garden Premier Inn
What these rooms really do have going for them is the location. Equidistant between Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square, the
Premier Inn Hub is at the centre of the action. There is an abundance of coffee shops and restaurants in the vicinity too. The location
is where this Premier Inn comes into its own.
Summary of Premier Inn Covent Garden Hub
These are lovely little rooms close to the West End. Our room was clean and comfortable, and perfect for what
we needed - a bed for the night when exploring our lovely capital city.
One thing to mention, unlike the standard Premier Inn, a sub can sleep 2 people, there just wouldn't be the space to make this
into a family room.
