2nd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment

The 2nd Battalion, East Yorkshire regiment, pushes East toward a pair of German strongpoints near the Southwest corner of Ouistreham, supported by a DD tank of the 13/18 Hussars, the Shermans gun is trained on a possible target, and it wears a now deflated canvas flotation screen around its hull. Even though 2 Hussar DDs were lost at sea, and 10 more lost on the beach, the battalion still remained a potent fighting force, with 28 operational tanks. (scanned by HOS Bandit)
