Very nice thrift store! Located right on Main St, Cherry Door is on the narrow side like most businesses here. Place is packed with a wide variety of knick knacks. Staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions; that isn't always the case for thrift stores so it's a big plus. Wide variety of stuff I didn't even get to check out (ie: mirrors) and prices are reasonable from what I saw. I drove by this numerous times without realizing it was here.
Bought a picture frame for a print I got for the holidays. Just needed something simple, so asked where the frames were and grabbed one for $4. Some stuff in better condition than others as you can expect. Hey, it says thrift store on the front, NOT antique store--tailor your expectations accordingly and you'll do just fine.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Janice D.Midtown East, New York, NY040Sep 2, 2024
I love this thrift shop! I've donated and bought and the women working there are so lovely and helpful! The value is amazing and proceeds are for Phelps Hospital. A win win!

What a cute place! I got some great items and loved their deals. The associate that was there was really kind and helped me figure out where to find my sizes and let me know what sales they had that day. We were just passing through the state, so we probably won't be back but I definitely do recommend this place!

A delightful thrift store full of oddities and indenting a while, a great "find".

Checked this place out just walking around town and it's a very thrifty thrift store. Things run the gamut of what they offer and what they are priced. A bit disorganized for me, but I think that's some of the appeal. Didn't end up getting anything, but I'll probably be back. Has the feel of someone's attic.

My daughter & I walked in to check out The Cherry Door on a Saturday afternoon. So many fascinating items to browse - especially books, china & jewelry. Very friendly & helpful staff.
For fun we bought a Tiddlywinks game & enjoyed an afternoon of competitive Tiddlywinks. Then we looked to see what Tiddlywinks games are available online. None were nearly as good as The Cherry Door's game from the 1970s. You never know what you're going to find!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brad K.Ewing Township, NJ3372511662Nov 10, 2017
We were inspired by the five previous reviews to check this out. Was pretty much disappointed. Very small and not very organized compared to other thrift shops. Staff was pretty much clumped together by the register and many items were not marked.

Love this place! Scored some awesome deals and the volunteers are so sweet and helpful. Even better is that all proceeds benefit local hospital. Can't wait to go back!

This is my one "must go" place in Tarrytown every week. This is not a clothing thrift store, but a "stuff" thrift store. My husband and I go every weekend and rarely leave empty handed. I've gotten amazing antique furniture, pottery, glassware, artwork, great books and just good old practical stuff. Our favorite pan came from here.
The inventory changes constantly and the volunteers are friendly and helpful. We know them all by name! The fact that all the proceeds go to charity makes it all the more worthwhile (especially if you need to heal a guilty conscience for buying too much.). If you are into antiques, vintage, reusing, etc., this is the place to go. It's also a great place to donate things you know you should part with but want to make sure finds a good home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robin I.Westchester, NY140Sep 7, 2017
Well established thrift shop in a great town. All volunteer, profits go to help the local hospital. If you enjoy thrifting, you will have fun here. Practical household goods and furniture, vintage records and books mingle with high quality art, jewelry and antiques. Well curated, no junk! The manager is friendly and the staff are all lovely people. Come visit!
