Biography
Donavon Hawk studied at Montana Technological University. Hawk's career experience includes working as the public relations and marketing coordinator with the Butte YMCA. He has volunteered with SEIU, Montana Organizing Project, and Praxis Project.[1][2]

|A Montana native, he has been involved in social justice and political activism since 2008, working with SEIU, Montana Organizing Project, Praxis Project, Alliance for a Just Society and the Center for Community Change. Hawk is currently serving his second term on the executive board of the Montana State Democratic Party, as well as serving on non-profit organization boards Forward Montana Foundation and Butte America Foundation.
Donavon Hawk has worked tirelessly over the past four legislative cycles keeping Montanans engaged with public policy affecting their communities. For over 10 years, Hawk has directly worked on issues such as health care access for all Montanan's, Medicaid expansion, reducing student debt, expanding voting rights, fighting against predatory lending, keeping public lands in public hands, protecting the rights of hunters and fishers for generations to come, protecting Social Security, defending worker rights and protecting unions, and defending quality public education.
- Defend Montana workers by protecting collective bargaining rights for workers and fighting for their right to a livable and prevailing wage.
- Defend public education by increasing funding for preschool through 12 and higher education programs using best practices
- Defend the rights of all Montanan's by protecting and expanding Social Security, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, improving services for those with developmental disabilities, expanding voting rights, and protecting the rights of the marginalized across Big Sky Country
First and foremost we need to fight for quality healthcare for all Montanan's. Healthcare should not be a burden on the backs of every day Montanans. I have worked in several legislative cycles to fight for healthcare for 75,000 Montanans and will continue to fight . Public education is the cornerstone of what makes our country great. I will continue to fight for public education and expanding funding for programs k - 12 and higher ed.
My Mother. She has always been a fair but steady voice of reason in my life. She works with her heart and passion in everything that she does. My mother has fought diligently for social justice issues that have negatively impacted people in her state and community. I have strived to continue that kind of work with a focus on effecting public policy and legislation to help build a better community and state.

To help make decisions that have a better outcome for the people in my district and community. I can only do that by listening and understanding issues that matter to my constituents.

I have always believed in building a healthy relationship with others. It helps build a more rounded view on social and economic issues. Building bridges to better understand other peoples political views on social issues.
