I'm running again in 2020 after leading the most successful challenger campaign for this district seat in decades back in 2018. My campaign is dedicated to understanding what challenges people are experiencing, and promoting pragmatic, proven economic policies that will actually help address them and serve to make people's lives better.. My decades of experience as a small business owner, a community organizer, an accountant, immigrant, and proud mother, combine to offer people a true alternative to the career politician we see in our governance all too often. I accept no corporate PAC donations, and am running to put people first in our Statehouse.

I'm running because our state is falling behind under the one-party rule that controls our Statehouse. Corporate influence over our legislators has made for economic policies that serve to maximize profits for a few insiders, while leaving people struggling to keep up with ever-rising costs. I'm determined to provide our citizens an example of what a true representative of the people looks like. My years of civic activism and community organizing have shown me how badly we need to return our governance and our democracy to its rightful owners, the people of Ohio.

  • I am running to bring honest, trustworthy and accountable representation to the people of my district and my state. For too long we've suffered under one-party rule, and all of the self-serving corruption that enables.
  • Our state school funding system was declared unconstitutional nearly a quarter century ago, and our state governenment STILL has not fixed it, thus leaving local property owners more and more on the hook for unfairly absorbing the costs. This broken, inquitable system needs to be fixed once and for all, so that all of our children can receive a quality education. One's zip code should not determine the quality of our children's education.
  • I believe strongly in putting the needs and interests of People First in our governance, which is why I refuse to accept any corporate PAC money, and don't rely on big money backers or even party support for my campaign, but upon the support of hundreds of individuals.

I concerned about a host of issues the people of our state are facing, from our economy to voting issues to the quality and availability of the internet to the public in general, but my *main* policy efforts are focused on fully funding our public education institutions (both k-12 and public college); expanding healthcare so that it healthcare is accessible and affordable to all Ohioans; and transitioning over our energy system to renewable sources. My focus is on identifying the real issues we all face on a daily basis, and offering up real solutions to address them.
