For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth,

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself in godliness.

O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you.

And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."
