Exhort servants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting,

Let as many as are slaves under a yoke account their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the teaching be not blasphemed.

Verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor one who is sent greater than he who sent him.

Remember the word which I spake to you, 'A servant is not greater than his lord.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

It is enough for the disciple, that he become as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they called the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his house-hold?

But who is there of you, having a servant plowing, or tending sheep, that will say to him, having come in from the field, 'Coming straightway, recline at table;' and will not rather say to him, 'Make ready wherewith I may sup; and, having girded yourself, serve me, until I eat and drink; and afterward you shall eat and drink?'

but whosoever wishes to become great among you shall be your minister; and whosoever wishes to be first among you shall be your servant;

and whosoever wishes to be first among you shall be servant of all:

For he that was called in the Lord, being a slave, is the Lord's freedman: likewise, he that was called, being free, is Christ's slave.
