For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes on Him should not perish, but have eternal life;
Every Scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
I beseech you, therefore, brethren, through the mercies of God, to present, your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your rational service;
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
For by grace ye have been saved through faith: and this, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God:
And we know that all things are working together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose;
going, therefore, disciple ye all the nations, immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
and he not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.
Jesus saith to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.
but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth."
And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be immersed each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit;
for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those believing in His name;
not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy, He saved us through a washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit;
that if you shall confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;
And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld His glory??lory as of the Only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
But God commendeth His own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
And He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
and they were constantly attending the teaching of the apostles and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
"Come to me, all ye who are laboring and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus answered, and said to him, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one be born anew, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
The thief comes not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came, that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly.
Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned;
And He said to them, "Going into all the world, preach the Gospel to the whole creation.
And in no one else is there salvation; for neither is there any other name under Heaven, that has been given among men, in Which we must be saved."
Wherefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, they have become new.
And Jesus, coming near, spake to them, saying, "All authority was given to Me in Heaven and on earth:
Having been justified, therefore, by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Be anxious for nothing; but, in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God:
And, on the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
And, when the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled they were all together in one place;
I have been crucified with Christ; and no longer am I living, but Christ is living in me; and, in so far as I am now living in flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; even as I loved you, that ye love one another.
Now there was a man of the Pharisees, whose name was Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
Give diligence to present yourself approved to God, a workman not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
and I will ask of the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, that He may be with you forever;
Therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us??aving thrown off every encumbrance and the easily besetting sin??et us run with patience the race lying before us;
Take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit appointed you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness;
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me; because He anointed Me to publish good tidings to the poor; He hath sent Me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away the crushed in freedom.
Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
When, therefore, the Lord knew that the Pharisees heard that Jesus was making and immersing more disciples than John
Now faith is an assurance of things hoped for, a sure persuasion of things not seen;
For the word of God is living, and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to a dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Confess, therefore, your sins one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. A righteous man's inwrought supplication avails much.
On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and he says, "Behold, the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world!
But, when He, the Spirit of truth, shall come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak from Himself; but whatsoever He heareth He will speak; and He will declare to you things to come.
Let every soul be in subjection to the authorities that are over him; for there is no authority, except from God; and the authorities that are have been appointed by God.
And I also say to you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My assembly, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
"And, when the Son of man cometh in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then will He sit on the throne of His glory;
All things were made through Him, and apart from Him was not even one thing made that has been made.
And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I told you.
Ye are of your father the Devil; and the desires of your father ye wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; because he is a liar, and the father of it.
The same came for a testimony, that he might testify concerning the Light, that all might believe through him.
"Think not that I came to destroy the law, or the prophets; I came not to destroy, but to fulfill.
And He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit; because, apart from Me, ye can do nothing.
"Verily, verily, I say to you, He that hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life, and comes not into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are righteous, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
And, apart from faith, it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to those who seek after Him.
looking for the blissful hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
And, having made a scourge of cords, He drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, even as the Spirit was giving them to declare.
He that believes and is immersed shall be saved; but he that disbelieves shall be condemned.
And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, and your house."
But, if any of you is lacking in wisdom, let him ask from God, Who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it will be given him;
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes on Me, though he die, yet shall he live;
Those, therefore, who gladly received his word, were immersed; and there were added to them on that day about three thousand souls;
And, having said these things, while they were beholding, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their sight.
And on the first day of the sabbaths, we having come together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them (being about to depart on the morrow), and continued the discourse until midnight.
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts; ready always for an answer to every one who asks of you an account concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear;
And this is the eternal life, that they know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou didst send.
Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,
There comes a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, "Give Me to drink."

For His invisible things, since the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:
But ye are "an elect race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation," a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
God, having in many parts and many ways spoken, of old, to the fathers in the prophets,
"Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day.
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if anyone hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
"Not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that does the will of My Father in Heaven.
The Spirit breatheth where He willeth; and you hear His voice, but know not whence He cometh, or whither He goeth: so is every one who has been born of the Spirit."
The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no one, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool; but, while I am coming, another goes down before me!"
Jesus, therefore, said to those Jews who had believed on Him, "If ye abide in My word, ye are truly My disciples;
He that believes on Him is not judged; he that believes not has been judged already, because he has not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Let your disposition be without fondness for money; content with the present things; for He Himself hath said, "I will in nowise leave you, neither will I in any wise forsake you."
Again, therefore, Jesus spake to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the Light of life."
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through, and steal;
because to us the struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against the principalities, against the authorities, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
And inasmuch as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this comes judgment;
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, the name of which was Nazareth,
This man came to Jesus by night, and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that Thou hast come, as a Teacher, from God; for no one can do the signs which Thou art doing, unless God be with Him."
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;
And they, having heard it, were going out, one by one, from the eldest to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
There exists neither Jew nor Greek, there exists neither bond nor free, there exists neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Is anyone among you sick? let him call for the elders of the assembly; and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord;
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, tempting Him, saying, "Teacher, by doing what shall I inherit eternal life?"
But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those falling asleep, that ye sorrow not even as the rest who have no hope;
Every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with Whom there is no variableness or shadow cast by turning.
Him Who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf, that we may become God's righteousness in Him.
These things have I spoken to you, that in Me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
in Whom ye also??fter having heard the word of the truth, the Gospel of your salvation, in Whom having also believed??ere sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the assembly, and delivered Himself up for it,
The Lord is not slow respecting the promise, as some account slowness; but He is long-suffering toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
And the angel, answering, said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; wherefore also the Holy Thing that is begotten shall be called the Son of God.
A religion, pure and undefiled with our God and Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
He that believes on the Son has eternal life; but he that disbelieves the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
"And, if your brother sin against you, go show him his fault between you and him alone. If he hear you, you gained your brother;
who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into the heaven? This Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld Him ascending into Heaven."
Repent ye, therefore, and turn, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;
for we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God before prepared, that we should walk in them.
What profit is it, my brethren, if anyone says he has faith, but has not works; can such faith save him?
for God sent not His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world may be saved through Him.
Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death?
that aged women, in like manner, be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea is no more.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for, indeed, the Father seeketh such to be His worshipers.
Now it came to pass, in those days, that there went forth a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the inhabited earth should be enrolled.
For there is one God, one Mediator also between God and men, a Man, Christ Jesus,
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to he tempted by the Devil.
Ye search the Scriptures; because in them ye think ye have eternal life; and these are they that testify concerning Me;
in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,
Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice,
but, if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with One another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He declared Him.
I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord exhort you to walk worthily of the calling with which ye were called,
For I delivered to you, among the first things, that which also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;
They are of the world; for this cause they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if, indeed, the Spirit of God is dwelling in you. And, if any one has not the spirit of Christ, he is not His.
When, therefore, it was evening, on that day, the first day of sabbaths; and, when, through fear of the Jews, the doors were shut, where the disciples were; Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith to them, "Peace be to you!"
and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? for, from the day the fathers fell asleep, all things remain as they were from the beginning of the creation."
No one can come to Me, unless the Father Who sent Me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
because in Him were all things created, in the heavens, and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers??ll things have been created through Him, and for Him;
And, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
"Enter ye in through the narrow gate; because wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter through it;
God, therefore, having overlooked the time of ignorance, now commands all men everywhere to repent;
Nicodemus says to Him, "How can a man he born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and he born?"
If, therefore, ye were raised up with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
because whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first born among many brethren.
Put on, therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering;
not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as is the custom of some, but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.
because Christ also suffered for sins once, a Righteous One in behalf of the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in flesh, but made alive in the Spirit,
Now in these days, when the disciples were being multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecian Jews against the Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily ministration.
"Peace I leave for you; My own peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be fearful.
for every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened.
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by Whose bruise ye were healed.
Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
But I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away; for, if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but, if I go, I will send Him to you,
for we have not a High Priest, unable to sympathize with our infirmities, but One Who hath been tempted in all points like as we, apart from sin.
"Ye are the salt of the earth; but, if the salt become tasteless, with what shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, except, when cast without, to be trodden under foot by men.
Who, being an effulgence of His glory and an exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made a purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, is going about, seeking whom he may devour;
And, in like manner, the Spirit also helpeth our weakness; for we know not what to pray for as we ought; but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.
All that the Father giveth to Me shall come to Me; and him who comes to Me I will in no wise cast out;
Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him;
"When the Advocate shall come, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, Who proceedeth from the Father, He will testify concerning Me;
Behold what manner of love the Father hath given to us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knows us not, because it knew Him not.
Now on the first day of the sabbaths Mary Magdelene comes early in the morning while it was yet dark to the tomb, and sees the stone taken out of the tomb.
And Peter, opening his mouth, said, "Of a truth, I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons;
And He said to all, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Philip answered Him, "Two hundred denaries worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each one may take a little."
And it came to pass, when He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching Him.
And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and He went, according to His custom, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.
For this cause I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you;
Jesus, therefore, answered and said to them, "Verily, verily, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father doing; for whatsoever things He doeth, these also, in like manner, the Son doeth.
And Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the King, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem,
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts, to God.
knowing this, first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of one's own interpretation;
And I do not pray for these only, but for those also who believe on Me through their word;
My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin. And, if any one sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous.
Now, on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood, and cried, saying, "If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the Gift of God, and Who it is, That saith to you 'Give Me to drink,' you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you living water."
For freedom did Christ make us free; stand fast, therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.
But the brethren straightway sent away both Paul and Silas by night to Beraea; who, indeed, having arrived, went into the synagogue of the Jews.
For I am persuaded that, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in Heaven.
The first narrative I made, O Theophilus, concerning all things that Jesus began both to do and to teach,
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple. And He said to him, "Behold, you have been made well; sin no more, lest something worse befall you."
having become persuaded of this very thing, that He Who began in you a good work will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ;
Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
for prophecy was never brought by the will of man, but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
We were buried, therefore, with Him through the immersion into death; that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Now, as they were going on their way, He entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, Martha by name, received Him into her house.
So then, my beloved, as ye always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
And, having come, He will convict the world respecting sin, and righteousness, and judgment:
and ye show regard to him who is wearing the splendid apparel, and say, "Sit here in a good place"; and say to the poor man, "Stand, or sit under my footstool";
Jesus answered, and said to him, "If any one loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.
"Beware of false prophets, who, indeed, come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.
Love suffers long, is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not herself, is not puffed up,
Blessed be the God and Father of out Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to His abundant mercy, begat us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,
And it came to pass, as He was in a certain place praying, that, when He ceased, one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples."
according as He chose us in Him before the founding of a world, that we should be holy and without blemish before Him in love;
And He spake a parable to them, to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;
In My Father's house are many abiding-places; otherwise, I would have told you; because I am going to prepare a place for you.
But, when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under law,
Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
If there is, therefore, any consolation in Christ, if any encouragement of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender affections and compassions,
Become not unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what fellowship have righteousness and lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, the same shall be also reap;
Now there were journeying with Him great multitudes; and, turning, He said to them,
looking away to the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus; Who, in consideration of the joy lying before Him, endured the cross, despising shame, and hath taken a seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
So, when they breakfasted, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He says to Him, "Yea, Lord, Thou knowest that I fondly love Thee." He saith to him, "Feed My lambs."
Jesus said to them, "I am the Bread of Life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst.
Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?
and He made of one every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having marked out their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;
And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus; for He will save His people from their sins."
Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?
and He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as Head over all things to the assembly,
The Jews, therefore, answered and said to Him, "What sign dost Thou show to us, seeing that Thou doest these things?
That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we gazed upon, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life
And Saul, yet breathing threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, going to the high priest,
For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are of no account in comparison with the glory about to be revealed for us.
And he who was healed knew not Who it was; for Jesus withdrew, a multitude being in the place.
For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions; for both their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature;
Now to Him Who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
Who delivered us out of the dominion of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love;
teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you; and, behold, I am with you all the days, even to the end of the age."
"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus, the Nazarene, a man accredited from God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did through Him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know;
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was being led in the Spirit in the wilderness
Jesus, therefore, said to them again, "Peace be to you! As the Father hath sent Me, I also send you."
Some of His disciples, therefore, said to one another, "What is this that He saith to us, 'A little while, and ye behold Me not; and again a little while, and ye will see Me;' and, 'Because I go to the Father?'"
And one of the Pharisees was asking Him to eat with him; and, having entered into the Pharisee's house, He reclined at table.
Beloved, now are we children of God, and never yet was it manifested what we shall be. We know that, if He shall be manifested, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.
And I saw a great white throne, and Him Who was sitting thereon, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and no place was found for them.
and saying, "The time has been fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God, has come near. Repent ye, and believe in the Gospel."
But he answered them, "He Who made me well, the Same said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'
Forasmuch as many took in hand to arrange in order a narrative concerning the facts that have been fully confirmed among us,
Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others; and sent them away, two and two, before His face, into every city and place, whither He Himself was about to come.
And, seeing the multitudes, He went up into the mountain; and, He having sat down, His disciples came to Him:
And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were far advanced in their days.
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.
A temptation has not taken you, except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" And, dividing His garments among them, they cast lots.
But, on the first day of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they prepared.
Having, therefore, a great High Priest, Who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession;
and Judah begat Pharez and Zarah of Tamar; and Pharez begat Hezrom; and Hezrom begat Aram;
Ye did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.
But Peter said, "Ananias, why did Satan fill your heart, that you should lie to the Holy Spirit, and keep back part of the price of the land?
Now I make known to you, brethren, the Gospel which I proclaimed to you, which also ye received, in which also ye have been standing;
"Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen by them, otherwise at least ye have no reward with your Father Who is in Heaven.
and that, from a babe, you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.
And, after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of God,
And, hearing this, they were pricked in the heart, and said to Peter, and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren! what shall we do?"
But my God will liberally supply all your need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
And I saw Heaven opened; and, behold, a white horse, and He Who sat on him, called Faithful and True; and in righteousness doth He judge and make war.
Verily, verily, I say to you, he that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to the Father.
"All things, therefore, whatsoever ye wish that men should do to you, so do ye also to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
for where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them."
And these signs shall accompany those having believed: in My name will they cast out demons: they will speak with tongues;
But He, answering, said, "It has been written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
Who, existing originally in the form of God, accounted it not a prize to he equal with God.
Brethren, even if a man be caught in any trespass, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
But He giveth more grace Wherefore, the Scripture says, "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble."
Beware, lest there should be any one who makes a spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceits, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ;
And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end come.
'And it shall be in the last days', saith God, 'I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel," which is, being interpreted, God with us.
And this is the judgment, that the Light hath come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their works were evil.
because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
For whatsoever things were written in former times were written for our instruction, that we through patience and through consolation of the Scriptures may have hope.
But the Spirit expressly saith, that in later times, some will fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and to teachings of demons,
Adulteresses! know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever, therefore, purposes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
But now, apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
By this shall all know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another."
"Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will they give into your bosom; for with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
If I speak with tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
and all the multitude of the people were praying without at the hour of the incense-offering.
Accordingly, therefore, ye are no longer strangers and sojourners; but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints and of the house-hold of God;
And, being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which said He, "Ye heard from Me;
For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness; but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God.
and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of My hand.
I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from Him Who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different Gospel,
how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power; Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the Devil; because God was with Him.
Then will He say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, ye accursed! into the eternal fire which was prepared for the Devil and his angels;
Ye know this, my beloved brethren; but let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
And He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
Now it came to pass, that, while he was doing priestly service in the order of his course before God,
Now there were in Antioch, in the assembly which was there, prophets and teachers; both Barnabas and Symeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenean, and Manaen, the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
And, taking bread, and giving thanks, He broke, and gave to them, saying, "This is My body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of Me."
And He is the Head of the body, the assembly; Who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that in all things He may be preeminent;
since His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness, through the full knowledge of Him Who called us through His glory and virtue;
Let no one, when tempted, say, "I am tempted from God"; for God cannot be tempted with evils, and He Himself tempteth no one.
But an angel of the Lord spake to Philip, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south, on the way that leads down from Jerusalem to Gaza:" this is a wilderness.
to Timothy, a beloved child: grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Happy is a man who endures temptation; because, when he becomes approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to those who love Him.
But Peter and the apostles, answering, said, "It is proper to obey God rather than men.
Wherefore also there sprang from one, and one impotent as to these things, as many as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand, which is by the sea-shore, innumerable.
For, as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is the Christ;
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and sobriety.
And He spake also this parable to some who had trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised the rest:
And, wine having fallen short, the mother of Jesus says to Him, "They have no wine."
"For it is as when a man, going abroad, called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods:
But, for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, their part shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death."
that they may all be one, even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.
and Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
Now it came to pass, as the multitude was pressing upon Him, and hearing the word of God, that He was standing by the lake Gennesaret;
But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who, indeed, will stealthily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction:
Is anyone among you afflicted? let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? let him sing praise.
And the heart and soul of the multitude of those who believed were one; and not even one was saying that any of the things belonging to him was his own, but they had all things common.
for an angel of the Lord went down at a certain period into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever, therefore, first, after the troubling of the water, stepped in, was healed of whatsoever disease he had].
Whence also He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, since He is ever living to intercede in their behalf.
They, therefore, having come together, were asking Him, saying, "Lord, dost Thou at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel?"
for even the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his soul a ransom for many."
"Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God made Him both Lord and Christ??his Jesus Whom ye crucified."
"If any one comes to Me, and hates not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and, further, his own soul also, he cannot be My disciple.
Jesus saith to him, "So long a time am I with you, and you do not know Me, Philip! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how say you, 'Show us the Father?'
And the scribes and Pharisees were watching Him, whether He would heal on the sabbath: that they might find how to accuse Him.
If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done to you.
That which has been born of the flesh is flesh: and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel; the Lord is our God, the Lord is One;
For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to every one among you, not to think of himself more highly than he night to think, but so to think as to think soberly, according as God divided to each one a measure of faith.
And He said to them, "These are My words which I spake to you, while being yet with you: that all things must be fulfilled, that have been written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me."
And, having risen early on the first day of a sabbath, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene from whom He had cast out seven demons.
And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
Now, in the end of sabbaths at the dawning toward the first day of sabbaths, came Mary Magdelene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from hence."
doing nothing through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind, each esteeming others better than himself;
For our citizenship is in Heaven, whence also we are waiting for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
And, the sabbath having past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that, coming, they might anoint Him.
My brethren, become not many of you teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater judgment.
for in Him we live, and move, and are; as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we also are His offspring.'
for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband: this you have said truly."
When, therefore, Jesus received the vinegar, He said, "It has been finished;" and, bowing His head, He delivered up His spirit.
For thus, in former times, the holy women also, who hoped in God, were wont to adorn themselves, submitting themselves to their own husbands;
And this is the message which we have heard from Him, and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
For the sun arose with scorching heat, and withered the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished, so also will the rich man fade away in his goings.
according as each one received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;
And, behold, two of them that very day were journeying to a village, the name of which was Emmaus, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem.
I exhort, therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;
"Think not that I came to send peace on the earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword;
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; because it has been written, "Cursed is every one who is hung upon a tree";
Since, therefore, the children have partaken of blood and flesh, He Himself also in like manner took part of the same; that, through death, He might bring to nought him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil;
"And, answering, the King will say to them, 'Verily I say to you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of My brethren, even the least, ye did it to Me.'
but the young men, rising up, wrapped him round; and, bearing him out, buried him.
And He hath said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you; for My power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
elect according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: grace to you, and peace be multiplied.
"I testify to every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone shall add to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
And one of the scribes, coming near, hearing them discussing together, knowing that He answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is first of all?"
which is present among you, even as it is in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as it does in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
It is the Spirit That giveth life; the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.
and in knowledge, continence; and in continence, patience; and in patience, godliness;
"Every one, therefore, who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be likened to a prudent man, who, indeed, built his house upon the rock;
In this we have known the love, that He laid down His soul in our behalf; and we ought to lay down our souls in behalf of the brethren.
And He said to him, "Verily I say to you, "To-day you shall be with Me in Paradise."
And this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
being justified freely by His grace, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, in the same night in which He was being betrayed, took bread;
but whosoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life."
Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God,
After these things I saw, and, behold, a great multitude, which no one could number, out of every nation, and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;
"Verily, verily, I say to you, he that enters not through the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Faithful is the saying, "If anyone desires the office of bishop, he covets a noble work."
And it came to pass, while Apollos was in Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper districts, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples;
"And, when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites; for they love to pray, standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men: verily I say to you, they have their reward.
For ye were called to freedom, brethren; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love serve one another;
And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole habitable earth; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God,
for thus shall there be richly supplied to you the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
knowing that, not with perishable things, with silver or gold, were ye redeemed from your vain course of life handed down from your fathers;
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them; and judgment was given to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God; and such as worshiped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
with all prayer and supplication praying at every opportunity in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
Let love be without hypocrisy; abhorring that which is evil; cleaving to that which is good;
but these have been written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that, believing, ye may have life in His name.
In like manner, ye wives, be subject to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be gained through the conduct of their wives,
And do you reckon this, O man, who judge those who practice such things, and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?
Then Peter, coming near, said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?"
and, having found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass that, even for a whole year, they met together in the assembly, and taught a great multitude; and that the disciples got the name "Christian" first in Antioch.
it fell to his lot, according to the custom of the priest's office, having gone into the temple of the Lord, to offer incense;
And no one has ascended into Heaven, but He Who descended out of Heaven??he Son of Man [Who is in Heaven].
(for, the children being not yet born, nor having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him Who calleth),
And, having been immersed, Jesus went up straightway from the water; and, behold, the heavens were opened; and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, coming upon Him;
The Samaritan woman, therefore, says to Him, "How is it that Thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans).
And, as they were eating, Jesus, taking a loaf and blessing it, broke it, and giving to his disciples, said, "Take, eat, this is My body."
And, having entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that He was in the house.
Then said Jesus to His disciples, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me;
And Jesus, having come into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, was asking His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that the Son of Man is?"
And one out of the multitude said to Him, "Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me."
And I saw an angel coming down out of Heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain upon his hand.
Now a certain one was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
having been buried with Him in your immersion, in which ye were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, Who raised Him from the dead;
respecting which ye can, by reading, perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ,
Whom we proclaim, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;
And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation works out patience;
For whosoever keeps the whole law, but stumbles in one point, has become guilty of all.
upon hope of eternal life which God, Who cannot lie, promised before eternal times,
He who has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me; and he that loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him."
And, if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is good for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having the two hands to go into Hell--into the unquenchable fire!
My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
and the rich, in his humiliation; because, as a flower of grass, he shall pass away.
And some, coming down from Judaea, were teaching the brethren, "Unless ye be circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved."
in whom the god of this world blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God, should not shine upon them.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in Whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
And now why do you delay? Arising, be immersed, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.'
And, as He was going forth into the way, one, running to Him, and kneeling, was asking Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life?"
Make dead, therefore, your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which, indeed, is idolatry;
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world knew Him not.
How, then, shall they call on Him in Whom they believed not? and how shall they believe on Him of Whom they heard not? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
For to this were ye called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow His steps;
But we all, with unveiled face, reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transfigured into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Therefore, I say to you, all things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them.
making request, if by any means now at length, I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you.
And, calling the multitude to Him with His disciples, He said to them, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling;
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, Who is the Head, Christ;
"Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be likened to ten virgins, who, taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.
The God Who made the world and all things therein, The Same being Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands,
But you have a few names in Sardis, who did not defile their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.
which He made to superabound toward us in all wisdom and understanding;
These things I wrote to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life.
and become kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you.
'Even the dust from your city, that cleaves to our feet, we wipe off against you; nevertheless, know this, that the Kingdom of God has come nigh.'
The elders, therefore, I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of Christ's sufferings, also a partaker of the glory about to be revealed;
And this is the testimony, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
but God, being rich in mercy, on account of His great love wherewith He loved us,
And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no more; neither mourning, nor crying, nor pain, shall be any more; because the first things passed away."
The same, following after Paul and us, kept crying, saying, "These men are servants of the Most High God; who, indeed, declare to you a way of salvation."
And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having the eternal Gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people;
And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.
And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus appointed them;
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, cease not praying for you, and asking that ye may be filled with the full knowledge of His will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
to whom He also presented Himself alive, after He suffered, by many proofs; being seen by them during forty days, and speaking the things concerning the Kingdom of God.
Let no one, therefore, judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or a new moon, or sabbaths,
for in it is revealed God's righteousness, from faith to faith; as it has been written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."
Behold, He cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall lament over Him! Even so. Amen.
praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to them daily those who were being saved.
For ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, "Abba, Father."
And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John into the Jordan.
in Whom we also were made a heritage, having been predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will;
For, when one says, "I am of Paul;" and another, "I am of Apollos;" are ye not carnal?
And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also the beast and the false prophet were cast; and they shall be tormented, day and night, forever and ever.
And, in doing what is noble, let us not grow weary; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
"I, indeed, immerse you in water unto repentance, but He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to bear, He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and fire;
having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God, that lives and abides.
And Jesus Himself, when beginning His ministry, was about thirty years old, being, as was supposed, the Son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
And he, answering, said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."
And this is the confidence which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us;
that is, to be comforted together among you through our mutual faith, both yours and mine.
And, confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifested in flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or perils or sword?
Hold the pattern of healthful words which you heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Wherefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed upon Him the name which is above every name;
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good for the supplying of the need, that it may give grace to those who hear.
But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.
And, behold, I send forth the promise of My Father upon you; but abide ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high."
Jesus saith to her, "Touch Me not; for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren, and say to them, "I ascend to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."
Jesus spake these things; and, lifting up His eyes to Heaven, said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify Thee;
Whence are wars, and whence are battles among you? Are they not hence, even of your pleasures that war in your members?
And there were some present, at that very season, who reported to Him concerning the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate mingled with their sacrifices.
And whatsoever ye do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
"Ye heard that it was said to the ancients, 'You shall not kill; and whosoever kills shall be in danger of the judgment.'
Draw nigh to God, and He wild draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever.
Little children, it is the last hour; and, as ye heard that Anti-Christ is coming, even now many anti-christs have arisen; whence we know that it is the last hour.
"When, therefore, ye see the abomination of the desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let him that reads understand),
In all things I showed you that, thus laboring, ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
"And every one who hears these words of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who, indeed, built his house upon the sand:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation;
For verily I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements, being intensely hot, shall be dissolved, and the earth and the works therein shall be burned up.
Wherefore, remember that ye, the gentiles in flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in flesh made by hand,
And we have known and believed the love which God hath in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abideth in him.
even as ye learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-servant, who is for us a faithful minister of Christ,
After these things Jesus manifested Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and He manifested Himself in this manner.
In these were lying a multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, withered, [waiting for the moving of the waters:
I charge you before God, and Christ Jesus, Who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His Kingdom,
James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes who are in the Dispersion, greeting.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
And we have the more sure prophetic word, to which ye do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the Morning Star arise in your hearts;
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil;
For this cause, therefore, the Jews were seeking the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the sabbath, but also called God His Father, making Himself equal with God.
But even if we or an angel out of Heaven should proclaim a Gospel to you other than that which we delivered to you, let him be accursed!
For there will be a time when they will not endure the healthful teaching; but, having itching ears, they will for themselves heap up teachers according to their own desires;
And they kept the saying to themselves, questioning what the rising from the dead could be.
Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places by the blood of Jesus,
the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it beholds Him not, neither knows Him: ye know Him, because He abideth with you, and will be in you.
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar??ontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
And there were shepherds in the same country abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.
"Happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness: because they shall be filled.
For God is my witness, Whom I serve in my spirit in the Gospel of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,
with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;
For these things, belonging to you and abounding, make you neither idle nor unfruitful regarding the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Let us, therefore, come with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
through which have been given to us very great and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world in lust:
Let no one despise your youth; but become a model for believers, in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
For we must all be manifested before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to the things which he practiced, whether good or evil.
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and declared to them, "Men of Judaea, and all those dwelling in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and give ear to my words;
Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the teaching which ye learned; and turn away from them.
Owe no one anything, but to love one another; for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
holding fast the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the healthful doctrine, and to convict those who contradict.
because John, indeed, immersed in water, but ye shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit, not many days hence."
But not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised;
And it shall be, that every one who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'
Obey those who are your leaders, and submit to them; for they watch in behalf of your souls, as those who are to give an account; that they may do this with joy, and not with sighing; for this would be unprofitable for you.
Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God is dwelling in you?
And He, lifting up His eyes on His disciples, said, "Happy, ye poor; because yours is the Kingdom of God.
for, indeed, in one Spirit were we all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
These all were continuing with one accord in prayer, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
He that commits sin is of the Devil; because the Devil sins from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that He might destroy the works of the Devil.
speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
yet knowing that a man is not justified by works of law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of law; because by works of law no flesh shall be justified.
but, as it has been written, "Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, and that entered not into the heart of man??hatsoever things God prepared for those who love Him";
This Man, delivered up by the settled counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye, having fastened to the cross, through the hand of lawless ones, did slay:
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past tracing out,
And, behold, one, having come near, said to Him, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
But I make not my soul of any value as dear to myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify the Gospel of the grace of God.
And, if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again, and will receive you to Myself; that, where I am, ye may be also.
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the First-born of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him Who loveth, and loosed us from our sins in His own blood,
Now, if their trespass is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the gentiles, how much more their fulness?
Jesus said to him, "'If thou canst!' All things are possible to him that believes."
preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
because, by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the law is the knowledge of sin.
And it came to pass, as we were on our way to the place of prayer, that a certain damsel, having a spirit of divination, met us; who, indeed, was bringing to her masters much gain by sooth-saying.
And, having sent from Miletus to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the assembly.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
"Every one, therefore, who shall confess Me before men, him will I also confess before My Father Who is in Heaven.
that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those hearing the word.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at their homes, were partaking of food in gladness and singleness of heart;
but Jesus went to the mount of Olives.
And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write these things," saith the Amen, the Faithful and the True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
Now I say to the unmarried and to the widows, it is good for them, if they remain even as I am.
and hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the holy Spirit, Who was given to us.
because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor did they give thanks; but they became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.
And John also was immersing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there; and they were coming and being immersed.
And, about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "My God! My God! Why didst Thou forsake Me?"
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and he who fears is not made perfect in love.
There was in the days of Herod, king of Judaea, a certain priest, Zacharias by name, of the course of Abija; and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
And nearly all things are cleansed, according to the law, with blood; and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
but, if I delay, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in a house of God, which, indeed, is an assembly of the living God, a pillar and basis of the truth,
And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come to you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the gentiles.
And, as they were journeying along the way, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch says, "Behold, here is water; what hinders me from being immersed?"
Wherefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly for the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
But a natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
"Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin; and have omitted the weightier things of the law??he judgment, and the mercy, and the faith; but these it was proper to have done, and those not to have omitted.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is proclaimed in the whole world.
for it is God Who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
and you have patience, and did bear for My name's sake, and have not grown weary.
who shall render an account to Him Who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
Whom God set forth as a propitiation, through faith in His blood, for the manifestation of His righteousness, because of the passing over of the formerly-committed sins in the forbearance of God:
For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth Him all things which He Himself doeth; and greater works than these will He show Him, that ye may marvel.
"And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come'; and let him that hears say, 'Come'; and let him that thirsts say, 'Come'; he that will let him take the water of life freely.
Jesus, therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus raised from the dead.
confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to abide in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the Kingdom of God.
And there will be signs in sun, and moon, and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity for the roaring of the sea and billows;
and to those selling doves, He said, "Take these things hence! make not My Father's house a house of merchandise!"
"For, if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you;
circumcised the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee;
Behold also the ships, large as they are, and driven along by fierce winds, are turned about by a very small rudder, wheresoever the impulse of the steersman wills.
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee; and a report went out concerning Him through all the region round about.
If He called them gods to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; handle Me, and see; because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye behold Me having."
Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, this will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer??he ninth hour.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," saith the Lord God, Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming, the Almighty.
After these things Jesus went away, beyond the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
And on that day, when evening came, He saith to them, "Let us go across to the other side."
who gave Himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
Ye heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I come to you.' If ye loved Me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; because the Father is greater than I.
And the things which you heard from me, through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He Who is in you, than he that is in the world.
And there was war in the heaven; Michael and his angels went forth to war with the dragon. And the dragon made war, and his angels;
Wherefore, God gave them up in the desires of their hearts unto the uncleanness of dishonoring their bodies among themselves;
For I rejoiced exceedingly, when brethren came and testified to your truth, even as you walk in truth.
And they sing a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to open its seals; because Thou wast slain, and didst redeem to God, by Thy blood, some of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;
"Then will the King say to those on His right hand, 'Come, ye blessed of My Father! inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world:
"Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; because Thou didst create all things; and, because of Thy will, they were, and were created."
I am the door; through Me if any one enter, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and find pasture.
Nicodemus answered, and said to Him, "How can these things be?"
I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
But concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.
Remind them to submit to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work;
New a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of a band, called the Italian band??2 devout, and fearing God with all his house, giving many alms to the people, and praying to God continually??3 saw in a vision manifestly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, "Cornelius!"
And they began to inquire together among themselves, which of them it was, who was about to perpetrate this thing.
at the end of these days spake to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He constituted the ages;
Now it came to pass, when all the people were immersed, that as Jesus also was immersed, and was praying, Heaven was opened,
And He said to them, "Take heed, and guard yourselves from all covetousness; because one's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses."
"And these shall go away into age-lasting punishment, but the righteous into age-lasting life."
He shall be great, and shall be called Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David;
But we behold Him Who was made a little lower than angels, Jesus, on account of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that, by the grace of God, He might taste death for every one.
And, having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us; whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;
After these things came Jesus and His disciples into the land of Judaea; and there He was tarrying with them, and immersing.
Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfected in the same mind, and in the same judgment.
And it came to pass, when the days for receiving Him up were being completed, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem;
This, therefore, I say, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been begotten of God; and every one who loves Him Who begat loves him also that has been begotten of Him.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound In hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
"Behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according as his work is.
And they were bringing little children to Him, that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them.
And it came to pass, about eight days after these words, that, taking Peter, and John, and James, He went up into the mountain to pray.
Now is the judgment of this world: now will the Prince of this world be cast out;
"And, immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, unless ye abide in Me.
For as to those who were once enlightened, and tasted of the heavenly gift, and became partakers of the Holy Spirit,
Not that I already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
And, having appointed elders for them in every assembly; and, having prayed with fastings, they commended them to the Lord on Whom they had believed.
Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth; being patient over it, until it receives the early and latter rain.
By faith we perceive that the ages have been constituted by the word of God, so that what is seen has not arisen out of things that appear.
And straightway He constrained the disciples to enter into a boat, and to go before Him to the other side, while He should dismiss the multitudes.
because that which is known of God is manifested in them; for God manifested it to them.
And He said also to His disciples, "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and the same was accused to him as squandering his goods.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and they shall become one flock, one Shepherd.
which, in its anti-type, immersion, now saves you also (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the requirement of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
inasmuch as He appointed a day in which He intendeth to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness, by a Man Whom He appointed, having given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead."
Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the Jews' manner of purifying, containing, each, two or three firkins.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son, to be a propitiation for our sins.
He that believes on Me, as the Scripture said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water."
because the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
And receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Or doth He say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written; because he that plows ought to plow in hope; and he that threshes ought to thresh in hope of partaking.
For I do not wish you, brethren, to be ignorant of this mystery (lest ye be wise in your own conceits), that a hardening, in part, has befallen Israel, until the fulness of the gentiles come in;
And, if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
And being asked by the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God is coming, He answered them, and said, "The Kingdom of God comes not with observation;
He said to them, "It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in His own authority;
When, therefore, He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word that Jesus spake.
And there gather together to Him the Pharisees, and some of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem,
But, when they believed Philip proclaiming the glad tidings concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being immersed, both men and women.
I said, therefore, to you, that ye will die in your sins; for, unless ye believe that I am He, ye will die in your sins."
And Saul was approving of his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the assembly which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the countries of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
For neither doth the Father judge any one, but all judgment He hath given to the Son;
for what will a man be profited, if he gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul? or what will a man give as an exchange for his soul?
And, beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He thoroughly interpreted to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning Himself.
And I am no longer in the world; and these are in the world, and I come to Thee. Holy Father, keep, in Thine Own name, those whom Thou hast given Me, that they may be one, even as we are.
And I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by reminding you;
fully testifying, both to Jews and Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.
because a husband is head of the wife, as Christ also is Head of the assembly; Himself the Savior of the body.
Our fathers worshiped in this mountain; and ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship."
For, if we sin wilfully after we received the full knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
But, beloved, let not this one thing escape you, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
At that season Jesus, answering, said, "I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, because Thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, and didst reveal them to babes.
The Jews, therefore, said, "In forty-six years this temple was built, and wilt Thou raise it up in three days?"
And He saith to her, "Woman, what is it to Me and to you? My hour has not yet come."
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the Same One is Lord of all, being rich toward all who call upon Him;
having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the chief corner-stone;
"And now I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you the inheritance among all the sanctified.
For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul?
for there will arise false Christs and false prophets; and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
and you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, did He make alive with Him: having freely forgiven us all our trespasses;
And I wrote this very thing, that I might not, when I came, have sorrow from those of whom I ought to have joy; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might become rich.
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are in Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:
And, while they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Separate now to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
Brethren, I do not account myself to have laid hold of it; but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forth to the things before.
as new-born babes, long ye for the spiritual, unadulterated milk, that thereby ye may grow unto salvation,
Not that I am speaking in respect of want; for I learned in whatsoever circumstances I am, to be content.
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him, to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and, having sent, He signified them through His angel to His servant John;
Let no one deceive you in any manner; because that day will not come, unless the falling away come first, and the man of lawlessness be revealed??he son of perdition;
because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither, indeed, can it be;
They said, therefore, "What is this that He saith, 'A little while?'??e know not what He saith!"
because there are Three Who bear witness; the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the Three agree in one.
and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;
And Jesus went forth, and His disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And, on the way, He asked His disciples, saying to them, "Who do men say that I am?"
Much more, therefore, being now justified by His blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
Jesus, therefore, said to them, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in yourselves.
And Paul, having taken his stand in the midst of Mars Hill, said, "Men of Athens, in all respects I observe that ye are more than usually regardful of the deities;
to Whom coming, a Living Stone, rejected, indeed, by men, but with God Elect, Precious,
Another parable He set before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven was likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field;
and, if she herself, having put away her husband, marries another, she commits adultery."
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office;
And He saith to them, "Because of your little faith. For verily I say to you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say to this mountain, 'Remove hence yonder,' and it will be removed, and nothing shall be impossible to you."
but I say to you, that every one who looks upon a woman, to lust after her, already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Having confidence in your obedience, I wrote to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.
(but, if one knows not how to preside over his own house, how will he take care of an assembly of God?);
Now I rejoice in my sufferings in your behalf, and fill up in turn the deficiencies of the tribulations of Christ in my flesh for the sake of His body, which is the assembly;
because all that has been begotten of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
If ye, then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"
in which ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience;
And, because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba," Father.
And, having said this, He breathed upon them, and said to them, "Receive ye the Holy Spirit.
Jesus answered and said to her, "Every one who drinks of this water will thirst again;
ye yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
For, as the woman is of the man, so also is the man through the woman; but all things are of God.
And He, answering, said, "Did you not read that He Who made them from the beginning made them 'male and female,'
But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever says to his brother Raca shall be in danger of the high-council; and whosoever shall say, O foolish one! shall be in danger of the Hell of fire.
and, if children, heirs also; heirs, indeed, of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if, indeed, we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him.
And He Who supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
Verily, verily, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, dies, it abides alone; but, if it dies, it bears much fruit,
And it came to pass, when He was journeying to Jerusalem, that He was passing through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
And, having called together the twelve, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases;
even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His soul a ransom for many."
But Jesus said, "Permit the little children??nd do not forbid them??o come to Me; for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
Wherefore, you are without excuse, O man, every one who judges; for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Many other signs, therefore, did Jesus in the presence of the disciples, which have not been written in this book;
And, on this account, the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the sabbath.
how much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be brought to nought, that we should no more be in bondage to sin;
Now in those days comes John, the Immerser, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
But I say this: He that sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he that sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
I can of Myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous; because I seek not My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me.
Wherefore, having put away false-hood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor, because we are members one of another.
"Is not This the Carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not His sisters here with us?" And they were finding occasion of stumbling in Him.
Or, do you despise the riches of His kindness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God is leading you to repentance?
Now, as they were telling these things, He Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith to them, "Peace be to you!"
And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you:
And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in Heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world became our Lord's and His Christ's; and He will reign forever and ever."
No longer do I call you slaves; because the slave knows not what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.
And, crying with a loud voice, Jesus said, "Father, into Thy hands I commit My spirit." And, having said this, He expired.
saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Thine, be done."
that ye put off, as to your former manner of life, the old man, who is corrupt according to the desires of deceit;
For God is my witness, how I long for you all in the tender affections of Christ Jesus.
I am the Living Bread That came down out of Heaven: if any one eat of This Bread, he shall live forever; yea, and the Bread That I will give him is My flesh, for the life of the world."
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough ways smooth;
And, if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will make alive your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you.
And Simon Peter, answering, said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."
being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
But to each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
And they come to Jericho: and, as He was going forth from Jericho, with His disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.
to whom all were giving heed, from small to great, saying, "This man is the power of God, which is called Great."
And, when He opened the fifth seal, I saw, underneath the altar, the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they were holding.
because there was born to-day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.
And the other came, saying, 'Lord, behold, your pound which I had lying away in a napkin;
But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed Him; and, having welcomed them, He was speaking to them concerning the Kingdom of God, and those having need of cure He healed.
And they passed through the Phrygian and Galatian country, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;
And it came to pass soon afterwards, that He was passing through by city and village, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God; and the twelve were with Him;
but respecting the Son, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever"; and, "A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy Kingdom;
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to the wrath of God: for it has been written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will recompense," saith the Lord.
O foolish Galatians! Who bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?
But the synagogue-ruler, answering, (being much displeased that Jesus healed her on the sabbath), said to the multitude, "There are six days in which it behooves us to work; in these, therefore, coming, be healed, and not on the sabbath day."
Let each one do as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.
and He said to them, "Thus it has been written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day,
John to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming; and from the seven Spirits Who are before His throne;
And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; and there make ready for us."
And, when they entered, they went up into the upper-room, where they were abiding; both Peter and John, and James, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, by doing what shall I inherit eternal life?"
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with them according to knowledge, assigning honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.
For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving manifold desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
in like manner, that women adorn themselves in becoming apparel, with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair, and gold, or pearls, or costly raiment,
(12:18) and he stood upon the sand of the sea. (13:1) And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.
And a certain woman, Lydia by name, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshipped God, was listening, whose heart the Lord opened to attend to the things spoken by Paul.
Behold, I have given you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall in any wise harm you.
who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
"And judge not, and ye shall not be judged; and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned. "Release, and ye shall be released.
knowing that speedy is the putting off of my tabernacle, as also our Lord Jesus Christ signified to me.
And He saith to them, "Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm, to save a life, or to kill?" But they were silent.
knowing that whatsoever good thing each one does, this shall he receive from the Lord, whether bond or free.
And it came to pass soon afterwards that He went to a city called Nain; and there were going with Him His disciples, and a large multitude.
Now we know that whatsoever the law says, it speaks to those under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and that the whole world may be under the sentence of God;
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with aloud voice, "ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI!" which is, being interpreted, "My God! My God! why didst Thou forsake Me!"
And it came to pass in those days, that He went out into the mountain to pray; and He was spending the whole night in prayer to God.
In this was manifested the love of God in us, that God hath sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we may live through Him.
For, if God spared not angels that sinned, but, hurling them down to Hell, delivered them up to pits of darkness, kept for judgment;
And, doing this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were breaking.
"Again, I say to you, that, if two of you shall agree on the earth concerning any matter which ye ask, it shall be done for them by My Father Who is in Heaven;
But He knew their thoughts; and He said to the man having the withered hand, "Arise, and stand forth in the midst." And, rising up, he stood.
And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them.
For this reason, it is needful that we give the more earnest heed to the things heard, lest at any time we drift past them.
and, even for this very reason, adding all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in virtue, knowledge;
for then will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now; no, nor ever shall be.
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ to the sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;
What, then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we before charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
Who is wise and intelligent among you? Let him show, by his good conduct, his works in meekness of wisdom.
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;
This title, therefore, many of the Jews read; because the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, in Greek.
Then saith He to the man, "Stretch forth your hand." And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole as the other.
And the gentiles, having heard it, were rejoicing, and glorifying the word of God; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.
And Zacharias said to the angel, "By what shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife is far advanced in her days."
that which we have seen and heard we declare to you also, that ye also may have fellow-ship with us; and our fellowship also is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
For the love of money is a root of all the evils; which some reaching after wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But all things are of God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To Him all the prophets testify, that through His Name every one who believes on Him receives remission of sins."
Know ye not that those running a race, all, indeed, run; but one receives the prize? So run; that ye may obtain.
And, after six days, Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart;
And Jesus, answering, said, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers; who, both stripping him and inflicting blows, went away, leaving him half dead.
And, in these days, Peter, standing up in the midst of the brethren, said, (and there was a multitude of persons together, about a hundred and twenty),
And, while He was sitting on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us when shall these things be, and what is the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the age."
in brotherly love being tenderly affectionate one to another; in honor, preferring one another;
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; become ye, therefore, as wise as the serpents and as innocent as doves.
for I also am a man under authority, having under myself soldiers; and I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
Having willed it, He brought us forth with a word of truth, that we might be a certain first-fruit of His creatures.
for I hungered, and ye gave Me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took Me in;
Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief;
for this is My blood of the covenant, which is shed in behalf of many for remission of sins.
And, now, Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine Own Self, with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.
if anyone is blameless, a husband of one wife, having believing children not in accusation of rioting, or unruly.
For the earnest longing of the creation is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God.
"There is a lad here, who has five barley loaves and two small fishes; but what are these among so many?"
And the angel said to them, "Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which, indeed, shall be to all the people;
I know that, after my departure, grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock;
Fear not the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus.
Jesus saith to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when ye will, neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly desires, which, indeed, war against the soul;
But when you pray, enter into your closet; and, having closed your door, pray to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who seeth in secret will recompense you.
And, as they were eating, having taken bread and blessed it, He broke, and gave to them, and said, "Take ye; this is My body."
Nay, more, I even account all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I suffered the loss of all things, and account them refuse, that I may gain Christ.
And He began to teach them, that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the high priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
After this He went down to Capernaum, Himself, and His mother, and brothers, and His disciples; and there they abode not many days.
And Mary, arising in those days, went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah;
The Lord Jesus, therefore, after He spake to them, was caught up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
even a righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe; for there is no distinction;
And, laying hold of him, they led him upon Mars Hill, saying, "May we know what this new teaching is, that is being spoken by you!
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.
But Jesus, looking on them, said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
But there were standing by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
Wherefore, we faint not; but even if our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
And, while Paul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit was being provoked within him, observing that the city was full of idols.
and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;
And, having said these things, He was journeying on before, going up to Jerusalem.
And He said to them, "When ye pray, say, 'Father, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come.
But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who was made to us wisdom from God, also righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;
And other fell on the rocky ground where it had not much earth; and straightway it sprang up, because of not having depth of earth;
for he to whom these things are lacking is blind, seeing dimly, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
Paul, a slave of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the full knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
