"For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, and your ways [are] not my ways," {declares} Yahweh. "For [as] [the] heavens are {higher} than [the] earth, so my ways are {higher} than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
And to me, how precious are your thoughts, O God; how vast is their sum. If I should count them, they would outnumber [the] sand. I awaken, and I [am] still with you.
For to us God has revealed [them] through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all [things], even the depths of God. For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man that [is] in him? Thus also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
"And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for Yahweh searches all hearts and understands every plan and [all] thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you forever.
And Yahweh saw that the evil of humankind [was] great upon the earth, and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart [was] always only evil.
Yahweh knows [the] thoughts of humankind, that {they [are] to no purpose}.
O Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know [me]. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thought from afar. You search out my wandering and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.read more.
For [there is] not a word [yet] on my tongue, [but] behold, O Yahweh, you know it completely.
And knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?
But knowing their thoughts, he said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and {a divided household} falls.
But Jesus, [because he] knew the thoughts of their hearts, took hold of a child and had him stand beside him
For the word of God [is] living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, both joints and marrow, and able to judge the reflections and thoughts of the heart.
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the advice of [the] wicked; nor does he stand in [the] way of sinners; nor does he sit in [the] assembly of mockers. Instead, in the law of Yahweh [is] his delight, and on his law he meditates day and night.
And these words that I am commanding you {today} shall be on your heart. And you shall recite them to your children, and you shall talk about them at [the time of] your living in your house and at [the time of] your going on the road and at [the time of] your lying down and at [the time of] your rising [up].
"And you shall put these, my words, on your heart and on your inner self, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be as an emblem between your eyes.
The scroll of this law will not depart from your mouth; you will meditate on it day and night so that {you may observe diligently all that is written} in it. For then you will succeed [in] your ways and prosper.
Only fear Yahweh and serve him faithfully with all of your heart. For consider {what great things he has done for you}.
Our ancestors in Egypt did not understand your wonderful works. They did not remember your many acts of loyal love, and [so] they rebelled by [the] sea at {the Red Sea}.
Whoever [is] wise, then let him observe these [things], and let them consider Yahweh's acts of loyal love.
Make me understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful things.
I remember [the] days of long ago; I meditate on all your doings. I muse on the labor of your hands.
One generation will laud your works to another, and will declare your mighty deeds. On the splendor of the glory of your majesty, and on your wonderful deeds, I will meditate.
"Come now, and let us argue," says Yahweh. "Even though your sins are like scarlet, they will be white like snow; even though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Beware lest {anyone take you captive} through philosophy and empty deceit, according to {human tradition}, according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ,
therefore look, I am again doing something spectacular and a spectacle with this spectacular people. And the wisdom of its wise men shall perish, and the discernment of its discerning ones shall keep itself hidden."
Where [is] the wise person? Where [is] the scribe? Where [is] the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but wisdom not of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing,
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, for it is written, "The one who catches the wise in their craftiness," and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile."
and all pride that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
Who [is] wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good behavior his works, with the humility of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but [is] earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
each of you not looking out for {your own interests}, but also each of you [for] {the interests} of others.
You must not oppress [the] widow, [the] orphan, [the] foreigner, and [the] needy. You must not devise evil in your heart {against one another}.'
Which of these three do you suppose became a neighbor of the man who fell among the robbers?" So he said, "The one who showed mercy to him." And Jesus said to him, "You go and do likewise."
And if one member suffers, all the members suffer together; if a member is honored, all the members rejoice with [it].
Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the language, I will be a barbarian to the one who is speaking, and the one who is speaking [will be] a barbarian in my [judgment]. In this way also you, since you are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek for the edification of the church, in order that you may abound.
But whoever has the world's material possessions and observes his brother {in need} and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God reside in him?
[Do] nothing according to selfish ambition or according to empty conceit, but in humility considering one another better than yourselves,
but our presentable [parts] do not have need [of this]. Yet God composed the body by giving more abundant honor to the part which lacked [it], in order that there not be a division in the body, but the members would have the same concern for one another.
{Therefore what should you do}, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. All [things] must be [done] for edification. If anyone speaks in a tongue, [it must be] on one occasion two or at most three, and {one after the other}, and one must interpret. But if there is no interpreter, he must be silent in the church, but let him speak to himself and to God.read more.
Let two or three prophets speak, and the others evaluate. And if [something] is revealed to another who is seated, the first must be silent. For you are all able to prophesy {in turn}, in order that all may learn and all may be encouraged, and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. For God is not [a God of] disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
And let us think about {how to stir one another up to love} and good works,
Brothers, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you [who are] spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of humility, looking out for yourself, lest you also be tempted.
But Peter said to him, "May your silver {be destroyed along with you}, because you thought {you could acquire} the gift of God by means of money! {You have no} part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.
For [although they] knew God, they did not honor [him] as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasoning, and their senseless hearts were darkened.
This therefore I say and testify in the Lord, [that] you no longer walk as the Gentiles walk: in the futility of their mind, being darkened in understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance [that] is in them, because of the hardness of their heart, who, becoming callous, gave themselves over to licentiousness, for the pursuit of all uncleanness in greediness.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone who is among you not to think more highly of yourself than what one ought to think, but to think {sensibly}, as God has apportioned a measure of faith to each one.
For consider your calling, brothers, that not many [were] wise according to human standards, not many [were] powerful, not many [were] well born.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks [himself] to be wise among you in this age, let him become a fool, in order that he may become wise.
Therefore, the one who thinks that he stands must watch out lest he fall.
Brothers, do not become children in [your] understanding, but with respect to wickedness be as a child, and in [your] understanding be mature.
For I consider myself in no way to be inferior to the preeminent apostles. But even if [I am] unskilled in speech, yet [I am] not in knowledge; certainly in everything [we] have made this clear to you in every [way].
For if anyone thinks he is something [although he] is nothing, he is deceiving himself.
because everything created by God [is] good and nothing [is to be] rejected [if it is] received with thankfulness,
For we do not dare to classify or to compare ourselves with some who commend themselves, but [they] themselves, [when they] measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, do not understand.
For from the heart come evil plans, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, abusive speech.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside the things of a child.
You are looking at things according to appearance. If anyone is convinced he himself is Christ's, he should consider this concerning himself again: that just as Christ himself [is], so also [are] we.

But whatever [things] were gain to me, these [things] I have considered loss because of Christ. {More than that}, even consider all [things] to be loss because of the surpassing greatness of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for the sake of whom I have suffered the loss of all [things], and consider [them] dung, in order that I may gain Christ and may be found in him, not having my righteousness [which is] from the law, but [which is] through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God on the basis of faith,
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?,' for the pagans seek after all these [things]. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these [things]. But seek first his kingdom and righteousness, and all these [things] will be added to you.read more.
Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, because tomorrow will be anxious for itself. {Each day has enough trouble of its own.}
Therefore, {when you have prepared your minds for action} [by] being self-controlled, put your hope completely in the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former desires [you used to conform to] in your ignorance,
{Take care} so that there will not be {a thought of wickedness} in your heart, {saying}, 'The seventh year, the year of the remission of debt is near,' {and you view your needy neighbor with hostility}, and [so] you [do] not give to him, and he might cry [out] against you to Yahweh, and {you would incur guilt against yourself}.
She does not observe the path of life; her ways wander, [and] she does not know [it].
The wisdom of the clever is understanding his ways, but the folly of fools is deceit.
Let [the] wicked forsake his way, and [the] man of sin his thoughts. And let him return to Yahweh, that he may take pity on him, and to our God, for he will {forgive manifold}.
Or what king, going out to engage another king in battle, does not sit down first [and] deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand.
And he said to them, "Men [and] Israelites, take care for yourselves what you are about to do to these men!
