Tiled roofing
There are different options (and price points) for tiled roofing. At the lower end of the scale are concrete tiles. Then you can move up to terracotta tiles and up to slate and solar tiles.

Bedding & pointing
When we think of roofing, many of us focus on the main covering, but there’s a lot more to it. Bedding and pointing are two important factors in a healthy roof.
To improve your bedding, a professional will need to remove the mortar used to fix tiles in place, clean the roof and lay a new layer.
Pointing is also related to mortar but this is about the finish rather than the installation. It helps make your roof look nicer and prevent leaks when it rains.
Roofing material suppliers
While some roofers may be happy to supply materials themselves, you may find you can get a better deal by shopping around yourself. It can be easier to let the roofer source materials, but they will charge you for the time they take to buy and collect these materials.
