Artio is a weaker variant of Callisto who is fought in the Hunter's End, a singles-plus combat area in level 21 Wilderness. To access Artio, players must have completed the medium Wilderness diary.

Compared to Callisto, the fight is safer and easier in return for lower drop quantities and rates. Artio's melee attack has a minimum hit of 15,^[1] which can only be partially blocked with Protect from Melee.

Killing Artio counts as a Callisto alternative for a slayer Boss task, the elite Wilderness diary task, and the combat achievements.

Upon any player entering the den, all players inside will be unable to teleport for 3 ticks. This delay no longer occurs after completion of the hard Wilderness diary.

17 April 2024 (update)	Artio will now wait a short period of time after respawning before attacking players.
10 April 2024 (update \| poll)	Artio's respawn time was decreased from 26 ticks (15.6 seconds) to 11 ticks (6.6 seconds).
20 September 2023 (update \| poll)	Access to Artio is now locked behind the medium Wilderness diary. Artio will now both take damage from Magic attacks from any source. Additionally, if Artio is not already frozen and the attacking player has equipment with a total Magic accuracy greater than 0, the first attack that would freeze the boss is guaranteed to hit. Future hits while the boss is frozen are not guaranteed to hit. Artio's Magic defence has been increased.
12 April 2023 (update)	Artio has been added to the HiScores.
2 February 2023 (update)	Artio’s head no longer clips when within melee range. Increased the minimum loot reward from 0% to 15%. Reduced maximum number of players able to receive loot from 15 to 10. Increased quantity of base rewards. Artio is now immune to Ring of recoil and similar effects.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Artio is named after the Celtic bear goddess.
Unlike the other weaker boss variants, Artio is smaller than Callisto, standing at 3x3 instead of 5x5.
