• Ezreal's name, examine, and appearance are references to the League of Legends champion Ezreal, the Prodigal Explorer, who has sometimes been mistaken as female by players.
  • Ezreal's first line of dialogue, "Everything belongs in a museum!" is similar to Ezreal's taunt in League of Legends, "You belong in a museum!", which in turn is a reference to Indiana Jones' "It belongs in a museum!" quote.
