A fishing rod is an item used to catch fish through the Fishing skill. It can be bought from fishing shops, but it is also automatically obtained on the tool belt. In order to fish most type of fish, players must have fishing bait in their backapck. Bait is no longer required after the baitless fishing prawn perk has been unlocked from the Prawnbroker in the Player-owned house.
