Usage of the plinkp template

Hello there TyBraniff. Just wanted to let you know why I edited your userpage. There were instances of the {{plinkp}} template where you used an unnamed second parameter which caused it to appear in Category:Uses deprecated inline template parameter. Using a second unnamed parameter does not do anything except that it adds the page to that category. I was doing some maintenance clearing that category as it is supposed to be empty which I why edited your page too. Hey Ty, thanks for the message. No need to apologise, really appreciate the image work you're doing. I'll copy and paste what I've put on Discord just to be safe. It's okay to take some pictures from 2007scape if that's exactly how they did used to look in RS3, but items like the ancient ceremonial mask arent applicable since it get remade in OSRS much later. The license template on the image pages might need a double check after uploading too as the "old" in the file name breaks the current SUBST use in bulk upload (for example here). Lastly, it might be worth slapping {{Historical image}} on the old image pages.

Yeah I figured as such, the nomination was only really to probe for the desired progress y'all'd like to see people at so I knew what to work towards. I didn't want to wait til 500 main edits then apply and it be 10,000 edits before I should have tried or worse.... visa versa. Either way. I've made a good chunk of edits, hopefully regarded as high-quality, in the past couple weeks. I feel that after a while of updating GU/GUL, Adding Update dates, and image separations, etc. I'll get there in no-time. Thanks for the update.

Anything with a release date of 2007 or earlier should be fine. Only exceptions will be if they were updated in OSRS post-initial release, which should be noted on the OSRS wiki page's graphical updates section anyway. Wahisietel (Talk) 01:40, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Klaas

Hey, this is about your recent update to the Klaas article. The image you used of him sitting down is historical, and only in the game between the Birthright quest release in 2013 and the post-quest dialogue release in 2014. You can see how he's supposed to look like in King's_Axe_Inn#Interior. The Trivia section of the Klaas article also mentions this.

I distinctly remember seeing the correct updated seated down image of Klaas in past versions of the article, you seem to have used Custodian powers to change the name of the relevant image, and also to remove the Historical tag of the other image. Thanks for the referencing screenshot. Yeah the trivia wasn't very descript on a date with that so for the time I lumped it in with "Good enough to get started", do you have an update in 2014 that this happened so I can make the GUL accurate? I scrubbed the history for a few revisions back and can't find the file you're talking about and I was unable to find it. My process for updating the pages includes searched for all files referencing the subjects before I make the edits. See this search to see what I saw. If you could find me this file I will make sure the GUL is updated correctly.TyBraniff the Ravensworn^(Talk) 13:53, 14 June 2023 (UTC)

I'm afraid that none of the patch notes mention anything about the post-quest dialogue being added. I remember that Mod John A, the developer for both the dwarf and elf series of quests, added them in the same day Plague's End was released, which was on 11 August 2014. I did some searching and found this [Reddit thread], so we at least know the date. Unfortunately it appears that he only made a forum post about it which has since been deleted. It also looks like there wasn't any updated picture of seated Klaas after all, apologies for my error. I would screenshot and upload the image myself, but I chose to exile him on my main account, and I have no plans to subscribe on my other accounts in the near future. I will see if I can request someone to get us an updated image, I've put it in for a {{Retake}} and my friends have yet to do any of the dwarven quests yes so hopefully I can get them to get us a good shot. File:Mourner chathead (2008).png deletion

Hi, this image is still used in the graphical updates section on the mourner page. Can you please sort out the section so the image isn't used there anymore so the file can be deleted? RE:Fairies

Precedent is to set stuff added during the beta to the full release of RS2, since that's when they were added to the live game. Exceptions are beta-exclusive things, obviously. Wahisietel (Talk) 17:43, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
