EXCLUSIVEBody language expert gives withering verdict on Apple Martin's behavior at debutante ball
- Apple, 20, attended the Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, France, on Saturday
- Body language expert Judi James analyzed Apple's actions at the elite party
- She said the blonde beauty looked like she was 'itching to get in front' of cameras
A body language expert has revealed that Apple Martin acted like the recent debutante ball was her 'birthday party' rather than a prestigious event to present 'a whole group of young ladies.'
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's stunning model daughter Apple, 20, attended the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, France, on Saturday in a strapless blue Valentino Haute Couture gown.
But the blonde beauty faced scrutiny after footage emerged that showed her stealing the spotlight from another girl who was having her picture taken and rolling her eyes at her date, Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck.
Now, UK-based body language expert Judi James has weighed in on Apple's actions at the elite party, and she said the 20-year-old looked like she was 'itching to get in front of the lenses.'
After analyzing photos and clips from the ball, Judi added that it seemed like Apple expected it to be 'the Apple show' and treated it more like a 'fun' birthday bash than an esteemed event.
'It looks as though Apple is itching to get in front of the lenses,' Judi dished. 'She appears to upstage the first woman by stepping forward and showboating for the cameras, adopting some more dramatic poses that suggest she is anything but a shy introvert.
'Considering her more private years growing up, Apple really does seem to have burst onto the scene here with body language that looks so confident she leaves her [own] mother looking rather camera-shy beside her.
'This looks so much like the Apple Show, with the photos emerging suggesting a formal, fun birthday party rather than a launch for a whole group of young ladies.'

The annual event, which was first held at the Palace of Versailles in 1958, sees 20 young ladies from some of the most important families in the world being introduced into society.
'If this ritual of "coming out" is meant to mimic the aristocratic debutante balls of the last century, Miss Apple might need to remember that queue-jumping, upstaging and adopting anything other than a demure, elegant pose would have been severely frowned upon,' Judi added.
But the blonde beauty faced scrutiny after footage emerged that showed her stealing the spotlight from another girl who was having her picture taken (seen) and rolling her eyes at her date , Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck
'Apple's body language rituals at this event seem to vary between acting like a Downton Abbey debutante complete with curtseys and allowing her hand to be transferred from her father's clasp to her young man's with an air of Victorian formality to working the pose for the cameras like a social media selfie-queen.'
Earlier this week, a clip of Apple seemingly trying to steal the spotlight from a fellow debutante went viral on TikTok.
Posing with her hands on her hips, Gwyneth's daughter was seen edging her way into the frame - forcing the other girl out.
The debutante could do nothing but look on with an awkward laugh, as Apple proceeded to pout and pose for several photos.
Eventually, she finished and stepped out of the way - almost cutting off another debutante who was waiting for her turn for a picture in the process.
The move did not go down well on social media, as one person compared her to notorious queen bee Regina George from the movie Mean Girls.

During the celebration, Apple was also caught sharing a tense moment with her date, Leo. In a video shared to TikTok, she was seen visibly rolling her eyes
On a more positive note, Apple did have a few sweet moments with her parents during the ball
The ball, which was hosted by Ophélie Renouard and held in the lavish $1,000-a-night Hotel Shangri-La, is billed as a charity fundraiser and will benefit two entities connected with children's health, according to Hello! magazine.
'Apple really does seem to have burst onto the scene here with body language that looks so confident she leaves her [own] mother looking rather camera-shy beside her,' Judi added
It's been said that Ophélie invites her guests based on their appearance, intelligence, and family connections.
During the celebration, Apple was also caught sharing a tense moment with her date, Leo, who hails from the Austro-Hungarian noble family House of Henckel von Donnersmarck.
In a video shared to TikTok, the two were seen waiting to make their grand entrance at the ball.
He made a playful dance gesture as he spoke with Apple, but she seemed less amused and visibly rolled her eyes.
On a more positive note, Apple did have a few sweet moments with her parents during the ball.
She danced with her doting dad Chris, 47, before he pulled her in close for a cuddle and a kiss on the cheek.
Her mom Gwyneth, 52, watched on proudly before sweeping Apple in for a cuddle.
'We can see her looking thankful and warm towards her parents via two very filmed and recorded hug rituals that involve an especially magic moment with her dad as she places her head on his shoulder and he kisses her on the cheek,' Judi added of the tender embraces that Apple shared with her mother and father.
