Dax Shepard has opened up about an incident that occurred with his wife Kristen Bell at his favorite restaurant in Nashville last year.
During an appearance on the 2 Bears 1 Cave podcast, the 49-year-old actor and comedian revealed that Kristen, 44, had a very surprising response to a frustrated diner who was not impressed with how Dax was dressed.
Recalling what happened with podcast host Bert Kreischer, Dax began: 'So I have been watching my wife move through the world for 17 years. This happened down in Nashville last year.
'We go to my favorite steakhouse there, Sperry's, they have a salad bar and I love a salad bar. And I go up to the salad bar to make my salad and when I come back, my buddy Hughey goes, "Oh this guy next to us here, he's all f**ked up over the fact that you're in a T-shirt.
'"He was over there yelling at the manager. 'How the fuck they letting this guy in here? What's this restaurant become?' And Kristen just goes, "buy his dinner",' Dax revealed.
'Oh that's dark, yeah! So our server came over and I go, "hey, these are good friends of ours, would you mind if I bought their dinner?"' he continued.
He then recalled how the angry diner was clearly embarrassed when he asked for his check and realized Dax had already paid it.
'And the dude asks for the thing and then he has to look over at me and I go, "I'm so sorry I offended you with my T-shirt, I'll dress better next time".

'And now his wife has also turned around and now the wife knows who Kristen is, so now I'm like, "oh this is heaven, this dude's in so much f**king trouble the whole way home".'
Dax then wrapped up the story and confirmed: 'And this guy got up, he walked around the back of the bar and exited out the side of the restaurant, and I'm like, "girl, that's some Jedi s**t".'
'There should be an app, "What would Kristen Bell do?"' Bert suggested as Dax replied: 'Nah truly, she will f**k you up with kindness and generosity!'
Bert then added: 'That's the most gangster thing I've ever f**king heard!'
Dax's comments come just days after he revealed that he helps his daughter Lincoln shave her legs after she shaved his back for him.
The comedian shares children Lincoln, 11, and nine-year-old Delta with Kristen - whom he married in 2013.
During a recent episode of his podcast Armchair Expert, Dax explained: 'I discovered I had all this back hair from the backlighting of the gym.
'I was saying it out loud to my family, and Lincoln said, "Do you want me to shave your back?" Which I think is a dirty job. I would have never asked her to shave my back.'
Dax joked that Nobody Wants This actress Kristen will f**k you up with kindness and generosity'

Dax then continued: 'But she offered, and I shave her legs for her.'
In regards to how his eldest daughter went about shaving his back, the actor said: 'I sat on the edge of the bathtub, and she shaved my whole back.
'And then I collected it to throw it away and I couldn't help but notice, this is the softest hair I've ever felt in my life.'
Dax then humorously remembered, 'I had the girls feel it, and we all agreed that it's cashmere. So then Lincoln and I decided that I should start collecting it.
'At some point, maybe when I'm 60 or 70, I'll have enough for a sweater,' he joked.
'I brought it and I keep it in this bag now. And as you can see from the amount in it, it's gonna take a long time,' he added.
