EXCLUSIVELiam Payne's grief-stricken girlfriend Kate Cassidy packs up what remains of their life together and leaves their home as she faces life without the love of her life
Liam Payne’s grief-stricken girlfriend packed the remains of her shattered life into cardboard boxes as she was left facing an uncertain future - just days after saying a final farewell to the superstar singer.
Heartbroken Kate Cassidy, 25, appeared close to tears after gathering together her belongings as she moved out of the property where she had been living in the aftermath of the tragedy.
A forlorn-looking Kate stood in the street surrounded by her possessions after vacating the modern high rise apartment which is believed to have been owned by her late partner.
At one point the American model and influencer was spotted holding on tightly to a cuddly toy - a colourful squishmallow which was too big to pack into her luggage - it appeared to be a treasured memento of the time the couple spent together.
She was greeted by a friend who helped her load stacks of boxes and suitcases into a rented van before heading off to an unknown destination.
Neighbours said Kate would be relying on the generosity of friends to put her up as she prepares to fly back to the US to spend Christmas with her family.
She flew to the UK the day after tragedy struck when Liam plunged to his death from the balcony of his third-floor hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last month.
Just weeks ago, Kate and Liam, 31, were planning their future together.

The couple, who have been in a relationship for two years, had been in Argentina to attend former bandmate Horan’s sell out concert in the city.
Kate flew back to the couple’s home in Miami on October 14 while Liam remained behind to renew his US visa.
After the tragedy Kate travelled to Britain to join Liam’s family and close friends at an emotional funeral service at the 12th Century St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
The popstar was laid to rest after his casket was driven to the church in a white horse drawn hearse.
They were united in grief as they appeared in public together for the first time since the band split in 2015.
Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl, mum to Liam’s seven-year-old son Bear, was also in attendance.

University graduate Kate had previously lived in Liam’s £3.25million five-bedroom mansion in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
The property - which Liam had bought to be close to his ex Cheryl and their son - had gone up for sale in the weeks before the tragedy.
It came as the couple were making plans for their new life in America after setting up home in a spectacular rented £1.4million Spanish-style mansion near Miami Florida.

Kate had been helping Liam get his life back on track as he planned to relaunch his career.
After Liam’s death, Kate revealed in an emotional social media post how they had sat down to map out their future together with Liam setting out in a touching hand-written note his hopes they would wed in the coming months and be ‘together forever’.
Posting a series of heart-warming images highlighting their adventures Kate told how she had ‘lost the best part of myself’ following the singer’s death.
Kate wrote: ‘I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words.
‘I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now.
‘You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone - millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me.
‘You are so incredibly loved. You are - because I can’t say were - my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did.
‘Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into.
‘None of this feels real, and I can’t wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I’m struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side.

‘Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things.
‘Liam, you had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I’ve lost the best part of myself.
‘I can’t imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life.’
Cassidy added: ‘A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together.
‘I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it.
‘It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444”.
‘Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned.
‘You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel.
‘I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go.’
The couple first started dating in October 2022, and made their red carpet debut at the Fashion Awards later that year.
Kate had been helping Liam get his life back on track as he planned to relaunch his career.
Last year Liam opened up about his mental health and revealed doctors diagnosed him with 'a couple of conditions' after he hit ‘rock bottom’ and spent some time in a wellness clinic in the US.
He was later forced to cancel a South American tour after being hospitalised with a kidney infection.
Liam previously told how he struggled with alcoholism at the peak of his success with One Direction.
