Matt Rife denies plastic surgery as he addresses drastic facial transformation in new memoir

Matt Rife is setting the record straight about the plastic surgery rumors surrounding his appearance in his new memoir Your Mom's Gonna Love Me, released on December 3.

The 29-year-old comedian, who canceled comedy shows over the summer due to a 'medical emergency,' insists that any changes to his looks are due to late-onset puberty, not cosmetic procedures.

'Over a few months, I went from looking like a 13-year-old to looking like, you know, my actual age. Like an actual grown-ish man,' he writes in his book. 'My face got wider, my features became more prominent, I grew a few inches taller.'

He humorously blames his 'bizarrely stunted journey through puberty' for the 'million-and-one internet conspiracies about all this elaborate plastic surgery I somehow had the time and money to undergo.'

Beyond the rumors, Rife also discusses the challenges of being perceived as attractive.

He notes that 'good-looking people don’t always have it easy,' adding that his looks have made his career as a comedian more difficult.

'If anything, it actually made sh*t harder,' he writes. 'It turns out that pretty people are f*****-up, too.

'Who knew? I’m in therapy. I’ve had multiple anxiety attacks.

'I struggle with clinical depression and I have complicated feelings about life, about my mom, about loneliness.'

Rife doesn’t hold back when addressing the online 'experts' who have speculated about his appearance, either.

He questions their credibility, stating, 'Straight up—if you are an actual doctor actually going on TikTok to proclaim a guaranteed diagnosis about a dude you’ve never even met before, much less treated, how the hell do you not lose your license?'

He calls out the 'frightening lack of common sense' among these self-proclaimed medical professionals.

Previously, during an appearance on the Cancelled with Tana Mongeau podcast, Rife firmly denied having any work done: 'Not a single f******* thing.'

The only enhancement he admits to is getting veneers to fix his childhood dental issues.

'I just kept getting older I guess, it’s so funny. The only thing I’ve had done is my teeth—I got veneers, obviously, because my teeth were f***** when I was a kid,' he said at the time.

'I’ve had people who claim to be plastic surgeons that’ll be like: "He’s had this…' and I’m like, cool, you’re not only lying but you’re wrong at your job."'
