Style's in their blood: Emma Thompson and daughter Gaia wear cocktail dresses and coats to the Critics' Choice Awards
It may be her first awards season, but Gaia Wise is certainly hitting the red carpet like a pro.
The 14-year-old daughter of Emma Thompson accompanied her mother to the Critics' Choice Awards on Thursday night, having already been on her arm at the Golden Globes five days earlier.
But this time, Emma, 54, and Gaia went for synchronised fashion, in dress coats and party frocks to the ceremony at the Barker Hangar, in Santa Monica.

Thompson opted for a colourful 1960s floral opera coat from WilliamVintage over a form-fitting red dress while her daughter opted for an LBD with a silver and black speckled long coat.
Gaia has been accompanying her mother more and more to red carpet events, in place of her father Greg Wise, who was last seen with Emma at the London premiere of Saving Mr. Banks.
The 54-year-old actress was joined at the event by her Saving Mr. Banks co-stars Jason Schwartzman and BJ Novak, there to support her nomination for Best Actress.
Emma's turn as prickly Mary Poppins author P. L. Travers in the Disney film has earned the British star a number of nominations, but she has yet to win an award this season.

Timeless beauty: The 54-year old looked stunning in her colourful 1960s floral opera coat from WilliamVintage and red dress at the ceremony
Commiserations: Neither Emma or Meryl won this time for their respective roles
On Thursday night she lost out to Cate Blanchett, who won for her turn as Jasmine French in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
Cate, had brought along her son Roman to enjoy the ceremony, and she gave him a shout out during her speech, telling him: 'Just be glad your mother isn't Jasmine French.
Emma still seemed to be in good spirits though, and she happily chatted to the other nominees and winners including Amy Adam (Best Actress in a Comedy) and Lupita Nyong'o (Best Supporting Actress).

Poker face: Though she didn't win, Emma didn't let her disappointment show on her face
She also caught up with friend and actress Meryl Streep, who no doubt shared her commiserations with Emma after she lost out at the Critics' Choice too.
But Meryl is no doubt excited to have received her 18th Oscar nomination for her role as pill-popping matriarch Violet Weston in Tracy Letts' August Osage County (based on his play of the same name).
Sadly, Emma has been snubbed at the Academy Awards this year, but will no doubt get an invite, and maybe Gaia can attend her first Oscars too.
Rare appearances: Emma's husband Greg Wise last hit the red carpet with his wife at the Saving Mr Banks London premiere
Adult night out: Emma and Greg attended the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 11, 2009
