Punk rock superhero! Ruby Rose wears an edgy leather jacket and rides a motorbike in the first glimpse from the Batwoman set in Chicago
She's been cast as Batwoman, DC Comic's first openly gay superhero.
And on Saturday, there was no rest for Ruby Rose as the actress filmed a pilot for the new Batwoman TV series, set to air on The CW network.
The 33-year-old cut a punk rock figure in an edgy leather jacket as she shot scenes for the show in Chicago.

Under the jacket, which had a high collar, she wore a dark, reddish t-shirt that sat long on her legs.
A pair of skin-tight blue jeans, torn at the knees, added to the edgy energy of the ensemble.
Ruby added a pair of black, leather boots to the ensemble, and wore a silver watch with thick links on her wrist.

The Orange Is The New Black star - who identifies as gender fluid- told TV Week on Monday how excited she was to play the openly gay superhero character.
Ruby, who is openly gay, called the gig a breakthrough role a 'win' for the LGBTIQ community.

'It fulfils my life mantra of, "Be the person you needed when you were young,"' she told the magazine.
'I can't speak on behalf of everyone in the LGBTIQ community, but I know any win for anyone in our community is a win for all.'
Fans were introduced to Ruby's Batwoman during a crossover event between Supergirl, Arrow and The Flash titled Elseworlds on The CW network last year.
