Your little one will be here before you know it and so it’s important to make sure you have a full list of the baby essentials you’ll be needing for your new baby.

Knowing what to shop for is key, so we’ve come up with a starter kit that will tick off all the boxes on your checklist, and see you through the first few months of your beautiful baby’s life.

Cot / moses basket
Mattress
Sheets
Blankets
Wardrobe/ drawers
Changing unit/ changing mat
Rocking chair
Baby monitor
Cuddly toys

Baby clothing checklist

Here's what you'll need for your baby's clothing...

6-8 sleepsuits or long-sleeved suits
2-3 rompers
6-8 short-sleeved suits
2 cardigans/jackets/ jumpers
1 shawl or snowsuit
1-3 baby hats
1-3 mittens
5-7 booties
2 sleeping bags (if you choose to use them)
7 bibs
Sun hat

Baby essentials list

Car seat
Pushchair or travel system
Travel cot
Baby carrier (optional but is very handy!)
Baby changing bag
Lots and lots of nappies
Cotton wool / baby wipes
Baby bath
Baby toiletries
2-4 hooded towels

3-5 Nursing bras
