Preface
Marian is a goddess that cannot stand humans but in order to save the life of her grandmother she is sent to earth to look for the Thibela, a special rock that will save her grandmother.
All hell breaks loose when she gets to earth only to find that her mother a former goddess has turned into a human and she has gotten married to another man and they have children. Marian soon forgets her mission as she plots to end the human race to avenge her sister’s death caused by her mother’s love for a human.
Chapter 1.
Marian’s pov.
YOU CALLED FOR ME MY lord
I say as I kneel down before my king.
Stand
He says.
The council has discussed your grandmother’s situation. I need not to tell you how important she is to us as the Dungu's which is why the council has taken a decision to send you to earth
The king says as he stands up and he walks towards me.
Why?
I ask. I need to stay here and look after my grandmother and I also need to figure out how to help my sister.
The council consulted with Jericho and he said that you should go and find your mother's family, there in her house lies the Thibela, a special rock of life that your grandmother gave to your mother
Sorry my lord but...I cannot go and disturb a woman who wants nothing to do with us, my lord you saw when she-
Do not remind me Marian! Get your things in order, you leave with Thomas and Elize tomorrow morning
But dad-
My word is final!
He says heading towards the door.
Yes my lord
I say and then he holds the door open for me and I leave.
I walk in the long hallway with my head facing down, I was shattered when my mother chose to be with a human and leave her whole family behind. If she was no longer happy with my father that is okay and if she decided that she hates him or whatever the case was then that too is okay but to leave her own children behind? That was unbelievable and her departure caused my family a lot of grief.
As I keep walking and thinking about my father’s request or rather order a picture of my mother creeps into my mind and I grow angry so I head towards the palace doors.
My princess-
One of the guards call me but then I just ignore him as I rush out of the palace and then I head to the one place I can find peace.
I arrive at the cave where my twin sister Marianne lays and I sit next to her as tears stream down my face.
My sister took it hard the minute my mother left. I remember how she waved at us and then she promised that she would come back one day...10 years later...still no sign.
I was hopeful that she would come back, if not for my dad then for our sake. I was always the naive one but Marianne? She knew that my mother was not coming back, so she went out one night on her own at just 16 years old to go look for my mother...and she did not find her...my mother had left us and she did not want to be found.
My sister grew depressed and restless, just existing but not living at all...on a random day she stepped on the wrong territory and as a result she ended up frozen...if she was old enough she would have died.
Where I am from we all get to live at least for 500 000 years before death, if you tried to kill yourself or someone killed you before your rightful age then you are kept in an icebox, until we find a way to bring you back to life and that is what the council has been trying to do for my sister.
Life has been hard for us since but my grandmother and dad made it easier for me and it got a whole lot easier when my dad got married a year later to my stepmom Fiona, but I never saw her as my stepmom...she treats me like her own child and when she had Thomas she still gave me all the love in the world...Fiona is my mother.
I am two years older than Thomas but we are close, probably because we are royalty and normally kept apart from normal people.
You would not believe what dad asked of me today
I say to my sister as if she can hear me...but something inside me told me she could because every time I spoke to her I always walked away with answers.
Thee impossible if you ask me, I guess I should be thankful that he is sending me to earth with Thomas and Elize, but how do I make nice nice with her newly found family for the Thibela?
I sigh...
That's what this whole mission means...I am supposed to play nice with her children in order to get into that house.
You don't have to play nice...strip her of all that she took from you and that is Marianne
A familiar voice says from behind me and I stand up and then I turn to look at the person.
Love! No-one saw you right?
I ask before embracing him.
Vesale and I have been dating for 6 years now and we are a secret...the thing is Vesale is not a Dungu, he is a Fefe and our kingdoms do not get along.
No, Thomas told me to come look for you, he said that you ran off mad, I now know why. Go to earth and I am coming with you...this is not about your mom...she is a Dungu brainwashed by a human...the whole human race must suffer too
You are right...I will put an end to humanity
I say with a smirk...being the daughter of a king...I am beyond powerful, as expected...I am going to be the Queen one day.
Chapter 2.
Where is the rest of our luggage?
Elize askes and in seconds our bags fall out of the portal knocking her down.
There they are!
Thomas exclaims.
Come on, get those bags off her, we need to get our stuff in order...school starts tomorrow
I say and Thomas removes the bags from Elize.
Geez thanks
Elize says while rubbing her head as she walks towards the kitchen sink.
So you are going to use the water in placement of ice?
I ask.
I never said I was the smart one
She replies as she turns the tap on.
Even if you did, no-one would believe you becau-Mari why are there bags with the tag 'Vesale' on them?
Thomas asks while holding one of Vesale's bags in the open.
Well...that can be explained
I say and then I walk towards the sink.
Why am I here again?
Elize asks as she removes her head from the sink
You are my bestie yes you are
I say with a funny cutesy tone and she laughs.
If you want a dog just steal Vesale's
She says.
Speaking of him! Explain...and if you say anything along the lines of you needing him or some crap about how this is your chance to be out in the open then news flash...I will open a portal back to Dungu...and you will explain your theory to your father who might I add is the king
Thomas says and I pull a face.
Thomas has this insane theory that he is more of an adult than me...as a result he normally treats me like I am his little sister, when in fact he is the little one.
Well, I was thinking, since we are here as normal people...we should do what these earthlings do...the grocery shopping, movies, the works...I might even find myself a Vesale huh
Elize says while winking at me and I laugh.
We grew up wondering what it was like to live the life of a human, but every time I thought about my mother...I would start thinking of how it would be like to wipe out the entire human race.
Elize can you focus for-
Thomas is interrupted when the doorbell rings and we all look at each other stunned.
No human knows that we are here, we are only going to be introduced to everyone tomorrow at school where the search for my mother's children will start.
I am going to choose my room upstairs
Elize says practically running away from the situation which is the doorbell that just rung again. Thomas and I stare at each other and then he finally speaks.
Well you are older, get the door
He says and I roll my eyes.
Only when it's convenient for you
I say walking towards the door and opening it.
I have always been told that I have a cold look on my face...but the look I have now, it is not a winter breeze, it is the type of cold that could freeze Mercury in seconds.
Hi, my name is Ruth...I am your next door neighbour and this is my little sister Casey
Ruth says and I just stare at her blankly.
We thought it would be polite to welcome you to our neighbourhood, it's pretty quiet but
She stops talking surely noticing my look and she
