It took me a minute to write this review because this series has been such a big part of my life in the past 3.5 years that I needed time to process. But here we are.
(( I don’t think I can call this a review, it’s more and emotional dump ))
Restless Stars comes after a loooong and painful journey and here I saw how the Twisted Sister wanted to give a price to the loyal ones who stuck with them until the end.
The book was long and sometimes rushed, but there were so many things to untangle that it could be otherwise. What surprised me was how every chapter was actually action packed and something was always happening.
⚠️The characters development was a little under the weather here, and it was a pity. Tory, Darcy, Xavier, poor Max and even Geraldine (who has a personality bigger than life) didn’t totally satisfy me. Like they were there but they were just being.

--------- It's been almost a week since I finished this book, yet it continues to live rent-free in my mind. You might think, "A week isn't that long," and you’d be right. But during this week, I went on a ski trip to Norway, read three other books, and dealt with a ton of frustrating work stuff. Despite all that, my brain keeps drifting back to this masterpiece.
The Will of the Many is an absolutely captivating story, featuring a badass main character, fascinating world-building, and a unique 'magic' system that had me hooked from start to finish.
My Brief Synopsis: After the Cataclysm, the Hierarchy seized power and established a system where individuals give and obtain Will, granting immense power to those at the top (they receive the Will of many, making them stronger). At seventeen, everyone is forced to participate in the procedure of giving Will, but Vis Telimus refuses. Despite being an orphan, Vis is more educated than most, and when a Quintus offers to adopt him and enroll him in the best school within the Hierarchy in exchange for help uncovering the mystery of his brother's death, Vis seizes the opportunity. It’s his only chance to avoid becoming just another Will feeder.
As Vis enters the Academy, he must quickly rise through the ranks to find answers. He must solve a murder, search for an ancient weapon, and uncover secrets that could tear the Republic apart.
I loved every single word of this book. It’s an addictive story with a jaw-dropping, plot-twisting ending that left me desperate for book two. I can't wait for its release!
I would highly recommend this book to fans of Red Rising and Mistborn. For me, this might just be the best book of 2024. And yes, it's only March, but surpassing this one will be tough....more

Foreword: Going into this book I didn’t know it was connected to the Caraval Serie. I read the first book (Caraval) but not Legend or Finale. I realized they were connected from some names and the world building. I now know that Jacks character was in reality introduced in Legend and that he has his storyline also there.
Even though I will definitely go back to read the rest of this first serie I don’t think starting Once Upon a Time a Broken Heart without reading Caraval before takes away anything from this book.

This is definitely my favorite book in the Off Campus - Briar U series. And you will ask why? Because this book has EVERYTHING.
First it has Dean and that should be enough. But then the story it's just too good. Spicier, funnier, sadder, deeper than all the other books. I love Allie and her sweet soul, I looooove Dakota and all the second character introduced by Dean and Allie story are on another level (hello Summer is Dean sister!!).
Also even this being the second time I read it, I already know it will not be enough. I think this is one of my favorite romance ever, definitely THE BEST in the Hockey Romance category.
So from 2023 me this is all. I'm sure I'll see you soon my dear Dean. ...more

Compared to 'People we meet on vacation' I wasn't so connected with the characters, but I understood them perfectly and after just 50 pages I was completely falling for them.
In this book I also enjoyed a lot the side characters, like Pete, Maggie and Shadi.
January father was a heavy presence and he was that layer that gave all the book a different depth. Her fight to understand what she felt for him was what really made this book so good for me. It is not easy to discover that the person you respect and love most is also the one that can commit huge mistakes and keep heavy secrets. But it is also natural to make mistakes and the effort to repair them is also worth of note. Everyone copes in different ways and the father was the evidence of how life can put you in a challenge and it is up to you to decide what is write or wrong.
Gus himself was also complicated. His feeling for January were clear from the beginning, and it was very sweet to see how the initial struggle to trust eventually unfolded in unconditional love....more

So when I started this book I was expecting the same sweet, funny story to enjoy and make life lighter. Instead this book was unexpected.
I felt very connected to Poppy. To her travels, the people she met and her connection with Alex. Like her, I too have a home everywhere my love is, and like her it was not easy to figure it out.
This book made me laugh a lot, but it also made me cry. The struggle to understand who you are, and what makes you happy, sometimes misplacing the source, is a day to day life problem that resonates a lot to me. Also this book really understand the millennials struggle to find a place in this world. The ambitions and goals we put on our own shoulders.
Sometimes our place is not a physical house or city, but is a person that makes our heart full.
My dear Emily, Whatever you touch brakes me and puts me back together. And I love it. I love you. Br Costanza
And I could leave it at that.

More specifically this book was so funny and at the same time deep. One second I was laughing and the next I was feeling every emotion from Nora, her past, her trauma and her fears. Even if this book is very emotional, the book does not categorise as a sad or a heavy read. On the contrary the banter was amazing, a lot of dialogues were really really good and the story overall was so sweet. I found so many conversations that I wish I had in my real life.
I was personally sold from the prologue, but I really wasn’t expecting anything less from the writer.
My personal favourite remains People we meet on vacation, but just for an attachment to the story itself. This one is as good as the previous.
This book is NOT well written. This book is a BULLY (not romance) book. This book has the worst characters name ever.
Did I like it? Yes.

You should aim to be successful, but not too successful. Otherwise, you would threaten the man. Because I am female, I am expected to aspire to marriage. I am expected to make my life choices always keeping in mind that marriage is the most important. Now marriage can be a source of joy and love and mutual support but why do we teach girls to aspire to marriage and we don’t teach boys the same? We raise girls to see each other as competitors not for jobs or accomplishments, which I think can be a good thing, but for the attention of men. We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that boys are.” WHAT SHOULD I ADD TO THIS?...more
