This book actually surprised me. I didn’t expect much from it, but it didn’t really disappoint. The characters were well developed in my opinion and they just didn’t feel bland. I liked Lucas a lot and the relationship he had with his brother, Andy, as well as Lily....more
I did not have high hopes for this book at all. I got it when there was the stuff your kindl4 ⭐️ what the hell man… why was this so good
***SPOILERS***
I did not have high hopes for this book at all. I got it when there was the stuff your kindle day a while ago. And now that I finally read it, it was actually so fucking good.
There was a plot, smut, romance… what more could you need? The time in the book did go by a little quicker than I would have hoped. Like it would be many months later (but all within a year), and there was some stuff that I would have liked to see within that time frame, but I enjoyed the book either way.
Luke was actually such a sweet fucking man. He made coffee for her everyday and then at the end, when he opened the lid to her coffee cup, it revealed a heart made of foam in her latte. He put a heart in her coffee everyday for a year ...more
“I would kill for you, and I have. I would do it again, every damn day. I’d turn myself inside out for you.4 ⭐️ i FLEW through this book
***SPOILERS***
“I would kill for you, and I have. I would do it again, every damn day. I’d turn myself inside out for you. I would die for you. I don’t just *like you*, Sloane, and you fucking know it.”
LORRRDDD! RIP ME TO FUCKING SHREDS
That’s a man if I’ve ever known one
First of all, this book was a banger at the start. It was interesting from the first chapter and then the good of it just kept escalating.
I haven’t flown through a book like this in a long while. It was legitness
The only reason why this book isn’t a 5 ⭐️, is because I felt like Sloane and Rowan’s personalities started shifting halfway through the book. Some things just felt sudden and I didn’t really enjoy that.
Also, when I read the trigger warnings, i thought it would be more extreme once I read the book, but it wasn’t unbearable at all. Although… the cookies and cream ice cream warning was a literally warning
First of all, this book belongs to my aunt and I asked her if I could read i2.75 ⭐️ this was kind of confusing
***minor spoilers + 1 major? spoiler***
First of all, this book belongs to my aunt and I asked her if I could read it because it seemed interesting
And second of all, What actually was this?
I think this book had a lot of potential. Like, the plot was there but it was just everywhere.
This book was pretty fast paced. It got to the point where you could just turn a page and it would be something new. I was not a fan of that at all.
I’m the beginning of the book, when Jeremy didn’t want to shut the guy up by pulling out his teeth, so he kissed him instead… BUT HE BIT DOWN ON HIS BOTTOM LIP UNTIL THERE WAS A CRUNCH! FUCKING DISGUSTING
That was kind of the only fascinating part in the whole book that really caught my attention. I’ve just never read a sentence like that before and it actually made me recoil ...more
“If you are the last thing I see,” he whispered, “it wil3⭐️ why am i sobbing right now?
***ONE MAJOR SPOILER***
Why did the ending have to be so tragic?
“If you are the last thing I see,” he whispered, “it will all have been worth it.”
‘Perhaps he would have said more, but as the first rays of sun shone through the window, he buried away to ash. Luzia had known her love would destroy him.’
To start off, this book was not Leigh Bardugo’s best. The beginning was so boring and I could not get into it AT ALL! The way the words and chapters would switch from character to character confused the hell out of me.
I think the plot was good, and if the writing was different, then this book would have been really good
Anyways, Santángel and Luzia’s relationship was truly very tragic. A VERY TRAGIC LOVE STORY!
It fr had me sobbing at the end. Didn’t think this book would make me cry, I’ve just never read an ending like that before, and I thought that bit of it was just so beautifully written.
‘Every night she shuts the window tight to guard against drafts, and every morning he dies and is reborn beside her. She reminds his heart to beat again, as she did so long ago. He kissers her fingers, and combs are hair, and treasures her, as only a man who has lost his luck and found it once more ever can.’
Why was this book so good? Like, every single thing about it was just so, UGGH!! I think the6/5 ⭐️ THIS IS A BANGER! AND I KNOW BANGERS!
***SPOILERS***
Why was this book so good? Like, every single thing about it was just so, UGGH!! I think the whole concept of them both not wanting a relationship, and instead finding a very… intimate friendship between them was just so interesting. Obviously they ended up in a relationship.
I actually think Max changed something in my brain chemistry a little bit. He was so obsessed with Sophie’s lips. Like, okay Mr. Bridgerton...more
