I loved seeing Jamie get his happy ever after, particularly since seeing him so ravaged by addiction in the previous book in the series “Rented Heart”I loved seeing Jamie get his happy ever after, particularly since seeing him so ravaged by addiction in the previous book in the series “Rented Heart”. Favourite parts that made me teary were the progress of the freed captive boys, particularly when they went from non-verbal to “Daddy” and even chatting to grumpy River. Seeing Darius & Gray from the Auctioned series (my absolute fave from Cara) And the reunion between Shae, River & Reece, with the usually stoic Tenley twins showing the depth of their love? *Chefs kiss* Gaaaah I wish it could have gone for much longer…...more

As someone who loves an autistic person, I found it really emotional to read Bodhi’s experiences, because I could heavily relate to the ways he was treated. I’m not sure whether it was because of that, but I just didn’t feel the connection between Bodhi & Caleb. I found the switch from Caleb being abrupt & intolerant to being attracted to Bodhi too sudden. Anyway, that’s just me. I gradually warmed up to them towards the end, and enjoyed seeing the positive impact of the relationship on Bodhi, but I didn’t fully connect with Caleb…...more
