E.M.Lindsey is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. You can always rely on finding a story that features an incredibly diverse cast, an MC with a disability that is represented authentically, and a love story that initially seems like it has no chance of succeeding but eventually is perfection.

The beautiful connection between Finley & Aiden shines through, and somehow made the wide range of full-on kink scenes less kinky and more loving. There were kinks in here that I have not enjoyed reading before, but I enjoyed it here because it demonstrated the deepening of their relationship as they felt comfortable to experience it together. And, while others have reviewed Aiden’s dominance of Finley as negative & exploitative, I never saw that. Aiden always ensured that Fin had choice and some level of autonomy, even as a submissive. It was interesting to see the parallels between Finley’s houseboy “service” for Aiden, and it’s similarities to 50s housewives, with one being widely seen as degrading & kinky, and the other as a normal part of family life back then…
This is an incredibly well written book about a lifestyle that many don’t understand. I think this will become a favourite re-read, for the steam as well as the love....more

Well, this technically isn’t the start (there’s a novella called “Making Him Mine” that details how the club started), but it’s not absolutely necessary to read that to get this. What I loved? The connection between kooky Beau & heartbroken Payne was special. The way Beau was forthright & honest about his long term feelings for Payne, and Payne’s respect for his feelings & what he could offer was lovely. There was no wishy-washy confusion, but a gentle path forward with minimal angst. By about halfway, I felt completely sucked into the Divorced Mens Club, and liked the array of characters enough that I’m really keen to see what stories develop for the others (the group chat chapters really added to this) What could have been better? When I’m having to wrack my brains to think of something, that says it all!...more
