Demon's Obsession is the first in a new series featuring demon's finding their mates. I've always been a fan of these two authors writing both together and separate, and this book was no different. Dakata is a demon who enjoys the finer things in life. He makes lots of money, wears the most expensive clothes, and rarely does he have any free time. Because of this, looking for a partner is so low on his list of priorities it may as well not even be mentioned.
Silas is the complete opposite of his demon. As the blurb states, he likes things simple. He lives in the forest inside his bonded tree with minimal extra comforts. It's rare he leaves his forest, except for the one day a week he goes into town to sing and bring joy to others. Where Silas is found often thinking of others, Dakata mostly thinks of himself. Two opposites you wouldn't think would work, but Dakata's demon definitely has other plans.
I enjoyed this book and the whole premise around demons and their blissful bonding. It looks like fate is set to shake some things up in the demon worldview and I'm looking forward to who she will set her sights on next....more

Though Remy and Laurence appear throughout the book. The main MCs are a different couple as I have recently been given a copy. You know what they say about those who assume I guess.
First off, I did not know this was going to be a series following the same couple. As I got closer to the end I realized there was no way all the loose ends were going to be tied up in 10% left. So if you're one to hold off until a series is finished just know there is still more to come.
I enjoyed the dynamic between Remy and Laurence. Remy was sweet and naïve, yet curious. Laurence was wary of this at first, yet he couldn't stop himself from starting to trust the young witch. There wasn't a lot of steam. The two spent the majority of this book on the run and getting to know one another. Witches and Vampires were at war after all. It wouldn't be so easy to trust the supposed enemy right off the bat.
Speaking of the war, the world building was interesting. It seems witches and werewolves had been engaged in war, and the vampires had made a decision to side with the werewolves. It proved to be a smart decision as Remy explained the plans the witches had for everyone. His caring heart just couldn't be apart of a sinister plan. Though Remy was one of the most powerful witches, strange enough being born male, he had no desire to lead or cause chaos. He just wanted to be left alone to live his life in peace. Unfortunately, that was never going to happen being in the clan of witches he belonged to.
Though the book culminates in an epic battle, there is still more left to do. The setting has been set for book 2 and there is also a blurb for it as well. It looks to be interesting as well. I enjoyed Remy and Laurence enough to want more of the couple, but I am also curious about their companions and the role they will play. 3.75 stars

The few glimpses of both Slaine and Sebastian we were privy to in book 1 left me completely unprepared for discovering who they actually were as individuals. Seb has some rich history with not one, but both the Summer and Winter courts being halfsy himself. There was a lot of information to untangle there. Slaine, or should I say Duine, has the same martyr complex as his brother Roark does when it comes to the person they care about most. Both of these men have layers upon layers that get peeled away with each new tidbit of information we learn.
" I can’t offer you anything but a broken kingdom.”
“I’m a broken prince,” he counters .... “But whatever is left of me is yours.”
The world building in this series is just top notch. There is also so much going on behind closed doors with lots of deceit and betrayals and all that dramatic goodness which makes you just devour each page wanting to know what happens next. If you thought the Winter Court was vicious, it has nothing on the Summer court.
Finn and Roark do have some page time in this one and it appears their relationship is as strong as ever. I liked how once Slaine falls in love he finally understands why his brother did everything he could for the human he loves. He even shows regret to missing important aspects of his brother's life such as his handfasting ceremony, not that Slaine could help it at the time.
Next up is the youngest prince of the Winter Court. Last we heard he was off searching out the Sluagh looking for an alliance for the coming war. After reading this book we are aware this is not without significant dangers. April cannot come soon enough.

When I heard M.A Grant was writing a Vampire series you can bet your ass I was excited. I fell in love with reading paranormal books as a kid. Now thaWhen I heard M.A Grant was writing a Vampire series you can bet your ass I was excited. I fell in love with reading paranormal books as a kid. Now that I am adult, I still read paranormal a ton, but I also read a ton of other types of books too in the MM romance genre. I certainly wasn't reading romance as a teen, while nowadays it's my staple.
Anyways, I had this book sitting on my TBR since it was announced. Since it's not KU, I was patiently waiting until I got an Amazon gift card to use on my non KU TBR. Happily enough, this book was gifted to me during the Goodreads Elfster Holiday Book Exchange and so as soon as Christmas was over I dug right in and finished it in one sitting. I really enjoyed the worldbuilding and both the MCs. As with what I have read of M.A. Grant, which is the Darkest Court series, there is a lower steam level. This series is very plot based and the romance is a slow burn, emphasis on the slow. Don't worry, there is plenty enough going on, along with some lovely UST that you really don't even notice the lack of steam. M.A Grant's writing is just that good.
This book is told entirely in Atlas' POV. He's a retired marine, who suffers from bouts of PTSD due to a horrific attack that happened during a mission, and is currently working for his sisters security agency now that he's stateside again. I bet when Atlas took the job he never expected to be working for people who weren't human, never mind starting to have feelings for his charge. The snarky back and forth between Atlas and Cristian were definitely some of my favorite moments. I'm looking forward to where the next book, which is in Cristians POV (YAY!!!), will take us!!
