Bumping into her high school crush in the cookie aisle brings back those old feelings but mixed signals lead Madison to wonder if it’ll be heartbreak Bumping into her high school crush in the cookie aisle brings back those old feelings but mixed signals lead Madison to wonder if it’ll be heartbreak or love. Madison returns to her hometown to help her very pregnant sister and nephew around the house. It’s a couple of weeks before Christmas and she’s happy to ease some of the burden while her sister is following doctor’s orders. The only problem is Madison keeps running into her high school crush, Ryder. She tries to keep her emotions in check because it appears he’s still with his high school girlfriend. Her sister says otherwise, and she can’t deny her feelings for Ryder are stronger than ever. But they’re not in high school anymore and both have grown since then. Can she take the plunge and confess her feelings to Ryder, or will she give in to the shy girl she was in high school and let him go once and for all?
Tangled in Tinsel is a second-chance romance I absolutely adored. Isn’t the title so sweet? Very visual. As a read a certain scene, I understood where the title came from. Tangled in Tinsel has everything readers love in a holiday romance: second-chance romance, returning home, plenty of misunderstandings, chemistry, an old girlfriend trying to come between the hero and heroine, an adorable kid, tons of holiday ambiance, and a sweeping ending. I connected with Madison right away. Ryder was an intriguing hero who doesn’t quite know how to handle the two women vying for his attention. The romance was sweet with a definite love triangle vibe. What makes Tangled in Tinsel such an emotional story was the descriptive narration. N. Jade Gray immerses the reader into the story, so they become a part of it. If you’re a holiday romance junkie, you need to read Tangled in Tinsel. If your reading jam is holiday romance, pick up Tangled in Tinsel. This award-winning book needs to be made into a movie. Highly recommend!

He’s a bestselling mystery author and he’s under a tight deadline. Plus, the women he’s met lately only want him for his money, moniker, expensive gifts, etc. Everyone wants something, or so Joel thought… until he meets Christy.
Christy has got a full plate: single mom trying to make it a go of it with her art and her diabetic daughter in Vancouver Island. But money is tight and when the landlord comes around the gallery demanding rent, sparks fly between her and Joel. Can she let her guard down to let him in or is he just like her ex and will abandon her when he meets Jill (her daughter)?
I’m a big fan of Biggar and have gobbled up everything she’s written but this story moved me to tears. There’s so much emotion in this little romantic story while dealing with not only the holidays but serious topics like childhood diabetes. Biggar describes perfectly the fear every parent deals with raising a diabetic child (Christy) while at the same time, capturing what the child goes through every single day (Jill).
If you’re a fan of romance and looking for a quick holiday romance, 1-click this book right now. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be inspired. A must read, in my opinion!
Favorite Character: I instantly connected with Christy. As a single mum and an artist struggling with making ends meet, my heart went out to her. I know quite a few friends like Christy and I wanted to wrap my arms around her.

From the moment Alan steps off the boat, he’s on the phone tending to business. Eloise has never felt so alone. The more time spent on the island, the more distant this couple becomes. Discovering they were never legally married, and a wicked natural disaster headed their way, will Alan realize the mistakes he’s made and make it up to Eloise or is it too late?
This story illustrates what can happen to a marriage when love takes a backseat to business. Beautifully written with plenty of tension-filled scenes, it’s a second-chance romance set in the Virgin Islands. What could be better?
Chronicle Two – Morgan and Margot have the perfect relationship: red-hot sex, tenderness, devotion as both are focused on their careers. But what happens when they’re in a friend’s wedding in the Virgin Islands and an old flame shows up? Both want to say, “I do,” but both allow fear of losing each other forever to guide their actions. Will they commit to each other or have they blown it?
How do you go from being a couple without commitment to husband and wife? This story will resonate with many readers and I enjoyed it immensely. The fact that both want to take the next step allows for comical misunderstandings. A well-written romance that gives you all the feels. Highly recommend!

She uses a pen name instead and everything looks promising until she receives a scathing review on her upcoming release. Now, she's second-guessing herself and her writing talent. She needs a break so taking her agent's advice, she books a one-week stay at the charming Deerbourne Inn. She meets Zane Barrett in his father's bookstore and a connection is made. What Annie doesn't realize is Zane is the reviewer who tore apart her book. Will she still fall for him when the truth is revealed? Can she and Zane heal each other's hearts or will they depart shrouded in August blues?
August Blues is a heartwarming bookish romance I read in one sitting. It starts out as enemies-to-lovers romance but it flourishes into something much more complex. Can you love someone who is your worst critic? Amey Zeigler answers with a resounding 'yes' and I agree wholeheartedly. Love is not easy, especially when your lover sees all your flaws. The true nature of love lies in truth and helping each other grow. This kind of love is not seen much in romance these days and I wish it was done more. With a tight cast of characters, August Blues is a riveting romance. The plot moves at a good pace with plenty of humor, heartache, and emotion. Fans of Kate Hewitt will love August Blues. Highly recommend!

But when the winning gambler makes a proposition that will help them both out, she sees no other alternative and reluctantly agrees.
Matthew Shaughnessy is a professional poker player and just when he thinks Lady Luck has abandoned him, he scores the juiciest pot of all: a beautiful fiancée to bring home to the family ranch. Sure, she’s a fiery princess but it’ll make his ailing grandma proud. The only problem is that the more he’s around Cassandra, the stronger his attraction for her. But she’s engaged and way too good for him. If only his mind, heart and body would agree. If he goes all in, will he secure her love or wind up with a broken heart?
OMG! I loved this romance by my favorite author, Jacquie Biggar. Las Vegas and Texas are the backdrop for this novella, which is portrayed accurately (I’ve been to both). The characters, though, are what made this story gleam as bright as the Vegas strip. Both Cassandra and Matthew are complex characters with a strong work ethic. Biggar reveals the conflict in their lives with emotive prose and I found my heart going out to them both. The chemistry between Cassandra and Matthew are electrifying… singe-worthy for sure. I was sad when it ended (though the ending was beautiful) and I want more! Highly recommend, especially if you like contemporary romance.

SeveraA missing artifact, two former lovers, a cure for a rare blood disorder and global conspiracy powerful enough to bring down the European Union.
Several years ago, Rachel had a love affair with her college professor and while he broke her heart, he gave her a daughter who’s been Rachel’s world for the past two decades. Living in seclusion, Rachel’s wary of any man, let alone her ex, Gervas Friedemann. When Gervas and her daughter meet, she’s deathly afraid of losing her daughter.
Gervas hasn’t been back to Wisconsin since he left twenty years ago. He’s back for two reasons: to retrieve an ancient artifact stolen by Rachel and to seek help to save his eldest daughter from death by a rare blood disorder. He tracks down Rachel and pleads with her to help him. Sparks fly as he reconnects with Rachel and meets his now adult daughter. Can he save his eldest daughter through the help of Rachel and their daughter and more importantly, can they return the ancient artifact before the conspiracy to bring down the European Union is successful?
Centrifugal Force grabbed me from the first page. I connected with Rachel right away and that was even before I got deep into the plot. As the mystery unfolded, so did the stakes. Political intrigue, blackmail, an ancient artifact, dark secrets, and a second change at love combine to make this an irresistible read. Lickel’s historical research is evident which just added a depth to the story. The characters were crafted so beautifully that I forgot I was reading fiction and got caught up in the story. The ending was surprising but totally satisfying.
If you’re looking for an original mystery with a love story as well as pulse-pounding global intrigue, grab this book right now! Trust me, you’ll love it.

WARNING: THIS BOOK WILL MAKE YOU CRY AND YOU WILL NEED KLEENUX
My heart was immediately connected with Annie and I rooted for her throughout the book. When her heart broke, mine did too. I understood her pain and kept nudging her to follow her heart. I don’t reveal any spoilers but I was very satisfied with the who Annie chose. The twists in the plot kept me guessing and I sometimes laid awake wondering what was going to happen next.
What I loved more than the love story was the Irish setting. Ireland and their people became another character to the story. I loved it and now am aching to travel to the Isle myself.
Judythe Morgan is a magnificent storyteller and I can see why she has won several awards. The characters are brought to life with such realism, I’m not sure they aren’t real people. There are a few surprises and those made me gasp aloud. Wonderfully written!
If you believe in true love, no matter how much time has passed, Claiming Annie’s Heart is the book for you.

This may be simply because for the first time in my life I am in a real relationship so feel sorta romantic now.
Was blown away by how well written this book is. The romance between Trent and Camille is so awesome.
Not a long book but one that completely fills in all the detail needed.
The scavenger hunt was just such fun and made the book just a joy.
Some very hot romantic scenes that made Kris blush when I read them aloud!
I loved this book and think many will want to buy this book.
If you love this author, then buy this book. If you love a good Christmas romance, then buy this book.
Definitely up for an award in 2023. What a great read!

Kate Berberich has given us the perfect fall love story, guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings and have you rooting for the couple to overcome all their obstacles—and obstacles there are.
Maggie Edwards, a skilled paramedic, has transferred to the quaint town of Carson Mills after her heart gets broken by her ex. She discovers her neighbor is handsome Brad MacKenzie, who has a soft heart for cats. The heart is so soft, he’s converted his large home into a cat shelter with the help of his veterinarian sister.
The problem? They both work crazy hours. When there’s an emergency, she must be available. And when a kitten’s life is in danger, he’s not going to check what time it is. The sparks are there, but can they make time for each other?
This story is small town romance at its best. Their budding relationship can hardly be kept private because the entire town knows their every move—and there aren’t too many places to go in a small town.
Maggie and Brad are my new favorite couple. Maggie is the perfect blend of independence and vulnerability. I felt her need to make sure Brad knew she worked in a male-dominated profession. Yet, her ability to accept his, Elsie, and Hollyn’s help made her a realistic character.
And I think Brad’s my new book boyfriend. He’s handsome and compassionate and he loves cats. What more could you want from a guy? He’s adorable because he’s oblivious to everything but his writing and his cats. So when Maggie enters his life, he needs some nudging from Hollyn and Elsie to see what’s happening.
And then there’s the small town this story is set in: Carson Mills. It’s filled with a cast of characters that you would swear were created from your own hometown neighbors. Kate even included one curmudgeon, whose subplot runs throughout the story. And gives us a plot twist.
Falling for the Cat Guy is the best, most creative romance I’ve read in a long time.

The last thing she needs is some hot guy trying to break up her sister’s wedding. Can she trust Brody to help her when she needs him the most or will he blow out of town after the wedding like a summer thunderstorm? Storm’s Warning is a contemporary romance with a fair bit of mystery and suspense. The descriptive narration allows the reader to dive into the story. The plot moves at a fairly good clip. The characters are well-developed.
Let’s dive into this romance, shall we? The romance is well-written. There’s plenty of romantic tension. The flirty dialogue propels the plot as does the unquestionable attraction. Ryan Jo Summers fuels the romance with emotion, so the reader is dead center in the heart of it all.
The plot is driven by these two characters, Storm and Brody, and they fly off the page. I love Storm. She’s independent and super fun to read. Her character is written with humor, emotion, and realism. I’ve known a lot of women like her, so her reactions and feelings are realistic. I connected with her and lived vicariously through her storm-chasing.
I had a more difficult time relating to Brody. Yes, he’s steeped in reality and comes across as authentic. His reasons for trying to stop the wedding didn’t quite work for me. The chemistry between he and Storm is off the charts.
There’s a lot going on in this book and I don’t want to give anything away. Just know, the mystery subplot kept me turning the pages. The romance did as well. If you like reading romance with a little mystery, you’ll enjoy Storm’s Warning.

Liberty flees but Wyler chases after the woman he loves. Can he prove even after tragedy strikes, their love is strong? Chasing Liberty is an emotional roller coaster I couldn’t put down. Filled with a complex plot, characters you’ll love to hate, and so much drama, Chasing Liberty will change your viewpoint on love.
Let’s dive into these characters. Liberty is a heroine filled with contrasts. Her layers are revealed when she’s plunged in hot water. It took me a long time to understand her but once I did, I connected with her. Rhonda Lee Carver surprised me with Liberty and her depth. Trust me, you’ll want to read it for yourself.
Wyler is a hard-working hero. I love men like him. He’s a straight-shooter and tells the truth. Love sneaks up on him but once he figures it out, he’s all in. Ladies, you’ll swoon over him.
The romance starts off as a fake marriage but quickly blooms to something more. There’s a lot of drama to this romance. Tragedy will do that to a couple. The ending, though, is worth the suffering. Take a chance on Chasing Liberty. It’s a worthwhile read.

In my personal opinion, she is the BEST author of the 21st century and so head scratching not universally loved by all.
This is the second book in the Storm series, and I was blown away. Kirkham could be forgiven for using a formulaic approach to her myriad series, but each one is original! There has never been a book as romantic as this one written by A.G. Kirkham in any of her fantastic series.
Here, it is the story of Bull and Maya and it is so beautifully written. There is something poetic in seeing two people find love when it isn't just an overnight thing. The depth of feeling expressed as the two realize how their relationship is growing touches the soul.
There is action and suspense in this book too, written in the amazing realistic fashion that is the Kirkham standard. The character development is super powerful. Secondary, even tertiary, characters fill the book with depth and verve.
Beautifully written with heartfelt romance and some spicy love scenes. If you want to have spicy love scenes work in a series, don't skip out character and plot development.
Can't recommend this book enough. It can be read as a standalone with ease. Kirkham uses what should be the industry guide in how to seamlessly fill in a new reader about what is going on in a series. They should study this technique in author workshops. When done well, like here, it makes a single book in a series a great read. When not done well by some, it can lead to confused readers. Can't wait for the third book in this series. Currently counting the days for the next Reign book but hey - I am addicted to reading A.G. Kirkham. The question is, why isn't everyone?

Joe and Kara agree to be in a fake relationship but what happens when emotions turn to love? There isn’t one thing I don’t love about Make It Real. This trope is quite popular, but Nan Reinhardt makes it her own. The descriptive narration, plot progression, characters, romantic tension, and more combine to make Make It Real a memorable read.
Let’s chat about the characters. Both Joe and Kara have had some setbacks but their love for their families keeps them motivated. Neither is looking for love, but their fake relationship turns all too real. I related to Kara on so many levels. Joe is a wonderful hero with a great personality. The characters are realistically drawn and are easy to connect with. You’ll be rooting for this couple as they navigate from fake to real.
The romance is fake dating and while it’s a common trope these days, Nan Reinhardt adds her own spin on it. This romance is full of emotion and tension. ‘Will they or won’t they’ propels this story and had me whipping through the pages. The writing is exquisite and everything I expect from this author. You will fall in love with this couple, this town, this book.

Truth and Dare is a light-hearted workplace romance I enjoyed. The characters are fun and engaging without being too serious. The descriptive narration whisks the reader away. The romance gives off a fairytale vibe with a modern twist. Relax and unwind with Truth and Dare.
Let’s talk about these characters. Max is a stone-cold serious man in the office. He’s the son of the owner and has a reputation to uphold. Inside, though, he’s still trying to tamp down his secret feelings for Goldie. She’s everything he could want in a woman. Max is a well-written hero with some control issues. He needs to let loose, but can he? His devotion to his family is admirable. I found his conflictive feelings for Goldie a delight to read.
Goldie is a wonderfully written heroine. I connected with her right away. She’s got a serious crush on Max but every time he’s around her, he’s gruff and keeps his distance. But everything changes on the island resort. Can they continue their romance once they go back?
The romance is light, comedic, and without too much conflict. They fall in love quickly, like a fairytale, but I enjoyed that aspect. Not every romance needs to be heavy with angst and Ann M. Trader writes this workplace romance with that frame of mind. So, take my advice, and dive into this romance.

Will they sBoth Grace and Toby want to win the one million dollar prize on the reality tv show they’re in but one thing they didn’t count on is love. Will they stay rivals until the bitter end and risk it all on live television? You Give Good Game is a flirty, rivals-to-lovers romance I found to be a guilty pleasure. The characters are genuine with tons of emotion. Smart, sassy dialogue allows the reader to dive into this romance. The chemistry is singe-your-fingertips hot. The setting is unquestionably fun as it’s a reality show where competition is fierce. I couldn’t put down You Give Good Game.
Let’s start with the characters. I first met Toby in Claire Marti’s The Wonder of You. He’s a fun-loving, sexy hero who can charm the pants off any woman. He’s also got a heart of gold and is devoted to helping those in need. He’s the perfect hero who is challenged by Grace. It was so much fun watching him yearn for Grace while also trying to outdo her in the competition.
Grace is a child star who has grown up in the limelight. She now has a passion for helping senior pets find new homes. She’s drawn to handsome Toby but she’s on a mission to win the money. She won’t be fooled by his charm and physique. She’s a modern heroine who knows what she wants, and she has no time for romance. But love has other plans.
I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the characters in this romance. The other contestants are an eclectic assortment of people also competing for the grand prize.
The narration is very detailed as well as emotional. The narration works well with the setting to immerse the readers into the story. Claire Marti is a master when it comes to unputdownable romance, and this is one of her best written books.
If you’re looking for a stimulating romance you won’t be able to put down, pick up You Give Good Game.

This series focuses on young Jewish professionals navigating love and their careers.
In this story, we meet Dina Jacobs, a librarian who loves to read, as she’s discovered a pothole has caused her car to get a flat tire. When a handsome man stops to help, she wonders if he’s a knight in shining armor or a serial killer.
The man is Adam Mandel, a lawyer we’ve met in previous books. He has no idea why he’s attracted to this woman with frizzy hair, who carries a bit too much weight, who’s super smart, and who spouts off random facts—“…seven percent of men aren’t comfortable letting the woman pay the check…”—when she’s nervous. But he is.
And this “opposites attract” premise is what gives this story its strength, humor, and realism.
Adam is up for junior partner at his father’s law firm. But he’s missed deadlines and the promotion is in jeopardy. On top of that, Adam’s suffers from an abandonment issue. His mother left when he was young, and he believes it’s his fault. He believes no woman would want to stay with him. So why would Dina?
Wilck has crafted a story with realistic characters with fears we can all relate to. I loved Dina from the start. She was the smart girl in high school who was often overlooked, that is when the prettier girls were mean to her.
Just like Dina, I was wary of Adam at first. But Dina brought out his true self. I grew to love him right along with her. Wilck has given them both unique, quirky characteristics. And wrapped them in complex emotions that gave their personalities true depth.
The author has once again given us a peek at what a happily ever after looks like in the twenty-first century. It’s realistic and romantic all at once. I know I fell in love with this couple. The Perfect Deception is the perfect read to renew your faith in love overcoming all odds.

It has everything I loved in the first two books: great characters, historic, romantic locations, and a spark of love and sensuality that ties it all together.
This series follows the lives of two flawed characters. Lacey Devere is a young woman with a wild past she’d like to forget. Dan Lewis is former pickpocket who knew how to help himself to some the wealth of the wealthiest. He’s older than she. They’re an unlikely couple, but that unlikeliness is exactly what makes this series so incredibly endearing.
In this book, Lacey, Dan, and his younger sister, Dylan, are on a coffee tour of Europe starting with the Czech Republic. Yes, all things coffee. It’s Dan’s gift to his younger sister for graduating with her doctorate. The siblings had a rough life, and Dan spent years as a pickpocket to help support his sister.
Underneath the historic beauty of the Czech Republic and the love between Lacey and Dan, this book is really a dual character study. Dan fights to break the long-held habit of roaming the streets at night to pickpocket. Dylan is learning that her past is actually a thing of the past. And Lacey is ready to do whatever it takes to help them—even if it is strolling the streets of Prague in the middle of the night.
This novella is a charming, captivating romance that shouldn’t be missed. It’s a short, delightful read that doesn’t require you to have read the first two books. That’s the talent of Ms. Berberich—she immerses the reader into the characters so well that you feel as if you’ve known them all your life.
Quinn by Design is a contemporary romance that is pleasurable to read. The hero is a master artist when it comes to bespoke furniture. The heroine is Quinn by Design is a contemporary romance that is pleasurable to read. The hero is a master artist when it comes to bespoke furniture. The heroine is reeling from the loss of her grandfather, Cam, and thinks our kind hero is a con man. If I had to define this romance, it is rivals to lovers with a twist. The narration is immersive and had my fingers speeding through the pages as I read. I stayed up late reading Quinn by Design and it is an addictive read.
The characters are delightful. I fell in love with Quinn ever since I read Masquerade (book one). He’s a hero readers will swoon over. I mean, he works with his hands creating beautiful furniture. His complex personality unfolds slowly but that just made me read faster. He’s a bit confused by Lucy, but he knows he’s in for an interesting adventure with her. All aspects of his life come to a head, and he must choose between his show and the love he feels for Lucy.
Quinn by Design is wonderfully written by Jennifer Raines. He is well-written with his own backstory and personality. Jennifer Raines uses her ability to layer emotion and tension into Quinn that creates one of the finest romantic heroes ever written.
The romance is beautifully written with heartfelt emotional tension. I truly enjoyed this romantic journey.
The descriptive narration is flawless and allows the reader a deep dive into the story. After reading the first chapter, I was instantly invested in both Quinn and Lucy. A lot of that is a result of the descriptive narration. Every scene is poignantly detailed with plenty of emotion.
If you’re looking for an emotionally charged romance with characters that’ll leap off the page and into your heart, pick up Quinn by Design.
