The Outlaw Noble Salt is a touching historical romance that explores redemption, identity, and love amidst the dangerous time of the American West and beyond. Amy Harmon has masterfully crafted a beautiful story of the legendary Butch Cassidy and a beautiful opera singer named Jane!
“This is what I’m going to do, Jane. I’m going to love you with everything I have left, all the good and the bad. All the rusty and the rarely used. I’m going to love you. I’m going to take care of you and your boy, as long as you need me. And that’s all. Okay?"
Jane Touissant is a woman who has overcome much in her life. However, she knows that she and her son are in danger. After a chance meeting with Butch Cassidy, or as she knows him- Noble Salt, she decides to ask him for help. She knows she and her son Augustus will be safe if he works for her as an escort and bodyguard on her upcoming tour, so she asks him for help. Butch is reluctant to agree, fearing his tainted past may endanger Jane and her young son. However, the salvation she offers is too hard to resist. As they embark on this dangerous journey, the baggage they carry weighs them down, yet somehow they find their way.
“You make me believe . . . what my mother used to say. Some folks are just ours.”
Overall, I highly recommend The Outlaw Noble Salt to fans of historical romance who appreciate tales of adventure, intrigue, and passionate love. The novel offers richly detailed settings, complex characters, and a romance that defies the odds. I am a huge Amy Harmon fan and once again her skillful writing blew me away! The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read!

“She was never theirs anyway. Not really. From the moment the songbird tried to appeal to a serpent, she was mine.”
The Ever King is a gripping tale of vengeance, captivity, and unexpected romance set in the fantastical Ever Kingdom. This novel immerses readers in a story where revenge drives the scarred king, Erik, whose sole focus has been reclaiming his throne and avenging his father's death. Livia is a princess who finds herself in the grip of her enemy. She knows that she must remain his captive to protect her father and her people, but she doesn’t know how to come to terms with these feelings that begin to develop. While traveling through the seas magic is everywhere and she finds herself torn between a man she hates with all of her being and a man she now desires.
“Hate me, curse me, I cared little, so long as I was the first thought of her day and the last of her night.”
Told in dual POV, The Ever King is a beautifully crafted romance set in a magical realm with complex laws and mystical characters. The entire ensemble of characters are very engaging and the strong will of both of the main characters kept me engaged the entire read.
“I am in your hands, I am at your command, for you have made me love you, and you will be my destruction because of it.”
Overall, I highly recommend The Ever King to anyone who enjoys a fantastical romance full of strong characters, forbidden romance, and passion. Although I haven't been able to dive into the next book in the series, I hope to do so soon. This was my first read by L.J. Andrews and I look forward to exploring more!

It Happened One Summer is a devilishly delicious summer read full of steamy romance and unforgettable characters.
Piper Bellinger has been a very bad girl! A Hollywood socialite that has taken things too far for the last time, her stepfather ships her off to Washington to settle down and get a taste of life on the other side. Accompanied by her sister Hannah, Piper gets much more than just a lesson on life. After making friends with the people in the town, she falls in love with a local fisherman Captain named Brendan. Although it is relatively easy for Brendan to "catch" Piper, he doesn't know if he has what it takes to keep her by his side.
Told in dual POV, It Happened One Summer is an absolute must-summer read for contemporary romance fans. Tessa Bailey never fails to master creativity with passion and spice! The characters are loveable and real, and the plot, albeit simple, is truly captivating and relatable to anyone who has ever fallen in love! This was one Shhlutty Read, I will never forget!

Electric Idol is the second book in the Dark Olympus Series. You don't have to worry if you haven't read the first in the series, because this one can be read as a complete stand-alone. A modern Greek retelling of Eros and Psyche and their passionate love story.
Psyche has never fit in the way a woman of her status should. Considered to be a plus-size bombshell who is focused on fashion and pursuing her own dreams instead of the dreams that her family is placing on her, she is a truly unique individual. When she finds herself in a deadly predicament she finds solace in the most unlikely arms. Eros is a ruthless killer who has never had a problem getting what he wants. Serving every whim of his mother Aphrodite, he has been manipulated into doing whatever she declares. However, when Eros is asked to take down Psyche, he can't do it. So when you can't kill someone, you should just marry them, right?
Overall, Electric Idol is a steamy retelling that will appeal to readers who like enemies to lovers story set in a dystopian world. My favorite aspect of the read was the creation of the world and the way in which these characters lived. Because the central theme has been done so many times, I found myself more drawn to the setting of the story and how the characters interacted with each other. With smart writing and a captivating setting, I will definitely want to check out more of this series.

A London Vilain is a blend of Mafia Romance and Second Chance Romance by Catherine Wiltcher. With action, passion, and mystery, this journey spans decades.
Ada O'Sullivan has struggled to forget the boy who first stole her heart. Frankie Lastra is deeply entrenched in a life of crime and although he has done his best to maintain a ruthless reputation, he has never been able to forget his first love. Ripped apart by forces out of their control, Ada and Frankie will take years to find their way back to each other.
The path to reconciliation is riddled with obstacles, from rival families to dangerous secrets. As Ada and Frankie attempt to build a future together, they must grapple with the dark forces of their past. Everything will be on the line as they fight for each other's love - and for their very lives.
Overall, A London Vilain is a quick read with action, suspense, and steamy passion. Although I enjoyed the read, I would have liked to have seen more development of the back story in order to really appreciate the dynamics of these characters and the journey that they took! Still, London is my favorite backdrop and I will never tire of reading Mafia Romance! Enjoy!

The Bastard's Betrayal is a mafia romance with passion and suspense. Rose Romanov has been busy having fun knowing that at any moment her family obligations will pull her back into the Mafia World. Rose has inadvertently fallen in love with a man who is not exactly who he proclaims to be.
Dante Verducci is loyal to his family and his mission until he discovers the powerful pull of Rose Romanov. Once he has a taste of her, he is not willing to let her go.
Overall, The Bastard's Betrayal is a quick read full of everything Mafia Romance lovers will devour. Although I enjoyed the read greatly, there were moments that were predictable. Still, I say give the Scandalous Scions a go as this is a strong start to what promises to be another amazing series by Katee Robert!

Darling Venom definitely falls under my least favorite type of romance trope. Anything that is set in high school or college, always causes me to pause and consider if I really want to explore. I find adolescent romance to be frustrating as undoubtedly the decision-making of the characters never fails to display the lack of development of the frontal lobe in both of their brains!
Despite this knowledge, I went ahead and dove in. Charlotte, Tate, and Kellan are three individuals seemingly ordinary people with each individual experiencing a troubled past. After tragedy strikes, everything is irrevocably changed. I would love to expand more on the plot and the journey of these characters, but I think this book is best experienced by walking in blind!
Overall, Darling Venom will appeal to readers who enjoy angst and heartbreak in their reads. Although the passion is undeniable, the journey is full of heartbreak and not for the weak of the heart. This was my first read by this author and although it was beautifully crafted, I would have to do some heavy-handed research before digging into another angsty read.

A Not So Meet Cute is a delicious Romantic Comedy by Meghan Quinn. A humorous love story full of witty writing and "pee your pants while reading" events, this is a must-read for Rom-Com fans!
Lottie has always lived her life to please others. When she finds herself unemployed and living with her parents, she knows she has to make a change and fast. When an unlikely meeting offers up the solution of a lifetime, Lottie cannot help but take the leap.
Huxley is a well-known womanizer. Focused on business and making money, he will do anything to seal the deal. But when he finds himself stuck in a lie, he has to think fast in order to keep his reputation on track. Never did he ever expect to fall in love!
Overall, Lottie and Huxley embark on a wild ride of misunderstandings, broken rules, and lots of heartbreak. With plenty of laughs, drama, and surprises to keep you entertained, A Not So Meet Cute is guaranteed to keep you laughing the entire read! Although Rom-Com is not my favorite trope, Meghan Quinn is by far my go-to when it comes to love and laughing with a heavy dose of passion!

Gothikana is a gothic paranormal romance set at a mythical university. Corvina Clemm has been isolated her entire life from the big evil world. At the university, she meets many interesting people, and one man, in particular, draws her in. Vad Deverell is her professor and has quite a reputation on campus. "Haunting in the way only very few living things could be, because it sent a shiver down the spine and cloaked itself in the darkness and fed on the energy around them."
Overall, Gothikana will appeal to fans of gothic paranormal romance who enjoy a passionate and intense read. No matter how hard I try, I cannot embrace the student-teacher trope, but the intense connection between Vad and Corvina and the exquisite writing made this book engaging throughout the story. This was my first RuNyx read, and I look forward to checking out more from this author.
