Sunlight mixes a gentle and interesting story with a little bit of science and everyday sunlight experiments. I love the simple colors and the cozy, vintage feel. This would be a fantastic introduction to the wonders of light for a young, school-age child. I really enjoyed it as an adult and I only wish I had a young one to read this to—my children are all grown up :( This would make a lovely gift for any parent or child that loves vintage books. ...more

The lovely illustrations in this very vintage Little Golden Book are entirely worth the read. Although I found the story of Mary Poppins not quite as fun, lighthearted and entertaining as the Disney movie, this excerpt from the book is a good one.

This book was totally worth the couple of dollars I spent and, just today, I found another Meg book for only three dollars. The Mystery of the Black Magic Cave was a treat to read at the beginning of autumn and I will definitely be looking for more to read.
If you love a middle grade mystery book that is suspenseful and interesting, give the Meg series a try! ...more
