Gina House is an avid reader and loves to collect beautiful vintage books. Her favorite novels are written between 1900-1950, but she loves the interwar period the best. Her all-time favorite authors are Agatha Christie, Elizabeth Goudge, Gladys Taber, Ruby Ferguson, Rosamunde Pilcher, Elizabeth von Arnim, Mary Stewart, Molly Clavering, DE Stevenson, Noel Streatfeild/Susan Scarlett and Miss Read.

She also has a passion for knitting, crocheting, drawing and painting in her sketchbook, archery and working with tarot cards.

“You can never have too many books or too many hugs.”
Gina House

“I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder

“You can never have too many books or too many hugs.”
Gina House

“Perhaps, after all, our best thoughts come when we are alone. It is good to listen, not to voices but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen. If we attend to the music of the earth, we reach serenity. And then, in some unexplained way, we share it with others.”
Gladys Bagg Taber

“Old houses, I thought, do not belong to people ever, not really, people belong to them.”
Gladys Taber

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”
