As her presentation begins, we quickly discover Norman is anything but normal. He talks, he doesn't want to murder bananas, he sleeps in a bunk bed, wears glasses, etc. The scientist becomes frustrated by Norman's inability to fit the "normal" behaviors of gorillas. Norman comforts the scientist and then shows her his friends in their natural habitat where we discover none of Norman's friends behave "normally", but it looks like so much fun, the scientist quits and joins the bunch.
