I'm rating this book 3.5* and rounding it up. I've been reading so many heavy books lately. Mafia books and Bully books etc that when this book dropped in my lap, and I read it, it was the best of palette cleansers that I couldn't help but let out one of those above mentioned contented sighs during and after reading it.
That's not to say this book was nothing but fluff. Because that simply isn't the case, but I really needed this and I'm so glad I picked it up.
Ryder is such a sweetheart and Lexie is quite the bad ass. The age gap thing, while that part appealed to me the most, wasn't made a big deal out of (Lexie is older than Ryder)
All in all and without spoilers or anything, I'm glad that this was my first book by this author and I hope for many more. I'd even love more stories in this "world".

The friendship group was so much fun and even though this was kinda low angst, I was rooting for Rocco and Julia all the way.

I wanted to like this because I love angel books. But this...this was not good. The switch in perspectives didn't flow, and the writing was so..fractuI wanted to like this because I love angel books. I'm so glad we got this and I wasn't expecting how...saucy it would be. We met Bodhi in Whisper and while this totally could be read as a standalone I'd suggest reading the whole series cause it's so good. Seeing Bodhi get his self together and find his home with Emmett was a beautiful thing to see....more
