The duo that started this series is back for a second round of revelations and excitement. The world building that has been established in other novels comes out to play here, helping create an even deeper back story for both these characters.

You get a preview of just how messed up this book is going to be in the opening scene when our mentally unhinged heroine realizes that maybe SHE isn't the only psycho one in her not quite there, but totally obsessive, relationship.... WHEN SHE DISCOVERS HIS TORTURE BASEMENT AND HANGING BODIES! And that's just scene one.
It gets worse from there. Add in new players in a mental institution designed for the paranormal and you've got a ride that lives up to its name - PSYCHO.
But it's so, so good! I actually loved it, and I am not sure what that says about me, lol! That characters are unique and equally twisted. There's blood, gore, revenge, obsession, MM, a Basilisk, murder, Zombies, Alpha Beasts, Vampires, lots of sex... LOTS OF SEX.... and somehow, it all wraps up in a tight little bow in just one book. Whew.

Any book in this series is a hit for me, though I have to ingest them in small doses. It’s rollicking, hilarious and ripe with expansive world building that literally tries to twist the mind.
Like the others, this is fade to black and perfectly “clean” - which, as a devout romance reader, is a touch annoying, but eh? What can you do? They are funny enough and so wit infused, I can’t resist.
Short for the series, this novella is meant to draw two character together and set them up for future adventures - hopefully ones that actually answer the mysteries dropped here.

My Final Verdict on Last but not Leashed [image]
Short, but flush with humor, this is the perfect addition to this growing, paranormal world. The characters are slap happy or dry, depending on the role - yet they all combine to create a laugh a minute ride a bit deeper than first impressions allow....more

Jeanette Lynn has a way of crafting unique and approachable tales, even if the main male characters in this one resemble the demons of lore, complete with horns and red skin!
Lil finds herself thrown into another dimension when her kindness gets the better of her (it's a thing, involving a late night rain storm and a crazy old man... lol). When the dust settles, she discovers a new world of strange and dangerous looking creatures, and no way home.
What happens next is both hysterical and understandable, from her fear to her desire. It's charming, hot, unusual and highly entertaining. Lil is human to her core, with all the flaws and foibles that come with the label. The guys she finds herself with? Well, they are their own kind of creatures - and it shows. Things are 'different' there, but similar enough that a reader can relate, and a FMC can fall in love.
It does need a bit of editing, and the emotionally complexity of both Lil and T wore a bit - but it still reads well and stands up till the end.

Maisey, Maisey, Maisey.... what are we going to do with you? Irreverent, immature, impulsive and far too often vapid, this 'Gram hungry gal is back wiMaisey, Maisey, Maisey.... what are we going to do with you? Irreverent, immature, impulsive and far too often vapid, this 'Gram hungry gal is back with a vengeance, and she's mourning the loss of Cronus. Or rather, the abandonment of Cronus, but don't tell her she's mourning... she's not ready to hear it, and it won't make the forced babysitting gig by Rhea (remember her? The EX-WIFE??) any better.
Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, that little sidestep doesn't last long and soon enough Masiey is back in the thick of things, necklace on, Gods angered, Sins taunting and Titans whirling. It's messed up, it's fast, it's hot and it's surprisingly emotional.
I still struggled with the plethora of hashtags, yet they feel suited to the character and her wishes (not to mention her growing then slowing 'Gram account), and were often quite funny... #RheaOwesMeTenBucks.
I both love and hate Cronus, even as I understand him.... or, at least his motivations (though that takes a little while). He's brash, a pure Alpha and totally convinced he's right, so, in other words, he's a Titan. With family issues.
All in all, this was a fun read that advanced the meta-plot well, while offering up a heap of humor, lust and pop culture. Fair warning, it ends on a cliff, though not a incredibly harsh one. ...more

RJ Blain is so much fun to read. Hilarious antics, witty conversations and characters that won’t stay down, this entire series is ripe with entertainment, no matter which part of the world they find themselves in. This one cracked me up, then again, that IS why I read RJ Blaine. Paranormal with a side of humor, perfect.
First person, single POV, episodic Ending. Rating = Pg13, nite for violence. Romantic dynamic = M/F (but no rating clause needed, Blain is fade to black IF anything happens) Character age range = Adult
Pros: - Hilarious writing. - Characters are engrossing. - I like the idea of Tulip.
Cons: - Series is getting repetitive, every character is funny and sarcastic. Which is good, but EVERY one in EVERY book? - Fade to black... there was no consummation in this book, but I know if/when it happens, no details will be given. Alas. ...more

I like Scarlett Dawn, yet somehow the Trixie Tower series is leaving most previous works of hers behind, or at least in my opinion. It’s FUN! Trixie is fast talking and snark loaded, flitting through a complex narrative that crafts the world as we go. Anthon... he’s a lumbering beast of a man who I can’t help but adore. Put them together and the sparks literally fly! I am head over heels for this series, and I can’t wait to read Book 3!
Pros: - Very well written. - World building. - Characters, ALL of them! Each are so unique and expressed in all their delightful flaws. - Fast moving. - Are there going to be 6 books?! There are 6 artifacts.... ? ...more

This is a wild, hysterical ride that literally bends and twists all the rules in this messed up universe. Fallen gods, mismatched Nate’s, evil turning good and good going bad.... it’s mayhem and gluttony, and frankly - rather glorious. 😈
Pros: - Funny!! - Fate is not destiny. - Who is who? No one really knows.... - An invisible unicorn.
I enjoyed this series. It filled a void that has been in the RH genre for some time, mainly the cozy mystery type - lol. Plus heat. LOSweet but rushed
I enjoyed this series. It filled a void that has been in the RH genre for some time, mainly the cozy mystery type - lol. Plus heat. LOTS of heat. The only drawback was a lack of true love development. I didn’t feel it, or what was there felt forced and far too rushed, at least from the guys. And it ended quickly.
Pros: - FMC is a snarky, slightly rude and downright hilarious heroine. - Mystery is blasé, but still plot moving. - Andre is interesting.
Cons: - Rushed ending. HEA was required for series satisfaction, it is a romance after all.... but this one didn’t feel justified. ...more

These books, while a series, are stand alone - and bloody hilarious. The wit is show stopping and the intricate genetics at play, while confusing, is fascinating - as well as fantastical. My only complaint is not so much a complaint, as an observation. You know those authors you just love, but you can only read one or two of their books before you need to break to something else? Apparently, this is one of those authors for me. Don’t get me wrong, I adore her, but the narrative does get a bit repetitive. I mean, how can every speaking person in a world share the same snarky humor? Tip, they don’t.
Pros: - Funny. Seriously funny. - complex and fairly convoluted - Breadth of content and length, it’s hefty. - Alpaca.... an alpaca!!!! Enough said. - World building: its wonderful, but I still don’t understand a bloody thing about it.
Cons: - Dubbed a romcom, but it’s more a comedy where a couple decide they work out. This is not a romance, at least not in the traditional sense. Definitely PG for sexy times.... though R for violence, so there’s that. - Not everyone you meet is funny. Take note: in real life, very few people are funny. Here, pretty much everyone is....more

This is honestly one of the funniest books I have read all year - or ever, for that matter! Meet Gorgons, shifters, Gods, angels, pixies, cindercorns, cops, baristas and a CDC gone wild in a New York of a Supernatural kind. Unique, refreshingly original and all together captivating.
Pros: - Funny, Funny, funny!!! - Startlingly original. - World building.... seriously, this place is nuts! - Well written! - Cibdercorns.... you have to read it to understand! - Bailey... I LOVE THAT WOMAN! - Quinn... yes. Just yes.

Book 1 was so much fun and so unusual that I fell into book 2 greedily. Unfortunately, spelled doesn’t quite live up to the promise of Jinxed, though it is quite entertaining. It is still funny and offers enough heat to make the skin tingle, but events felt rushed - almost like we are getting the story on the back end.
Pros: - Funny with wit to spare. - Button comes into his own. - Turk is still awesome, though we don’t see him much.
Cons: - Very rushed. - Transitions between scenes are lacking or non/existent. - Very short, more like a serial than a novel. ...more
