The BDSM is fairly tame and easily digested ... nothing new or edgy ... a solid read.

When I was younger I devoured books like Gone with the Wind ... then I discovered Sweet Valley High and its ilk before moving onto the likes of BarbarWhen I was younger I devoured books like Gone with the Wind ... then I discovered Sweet Valley High and its ilk before moving onto the likes of Barbara Cartland ... in my twenties and thirties, I discovered Anne McCaffrey, John Wyndham, Clive Cussler, etc before moving back towards the romance genre with Janet Evanovich and the Twilight books ... add the purchase of an e-reader and I discovered the world of erotic romance.
I first read this book a couple of years ago as I fully immersed myself in this newly discovered (to me) genre ... and I loved it! Hot smex, attentive, courteous lovers, multiple orgasms ... what more could a reader want right? So I rated it 4 stars, bought the rest of the books in the series, and avidly devoured them ... 2 years and over 1000 books later, I'd have to say that this book no longer makes me go "WOW" ... why do all these heroines need so much frickin' rescuing? Why does courtesy (from the men) have to be accompanied by so much chauvinistic bullshit? Why do these women spring a leak in their nether regions as soon as a man quirks an eyebrow? And finally, why the hell do people think disciplinary spankings (for changing a tyre no less *eye roll*) equals consensual BDSM???
To be honest, if you're new to erotica, books like this one are probably going to be enjoyable ... BUT ... once you've taken the training wheels off your exploration into the world of erotic romance with a touch of kink; if you want to read about strong characters submitting with grace while maintaining their independence; head over to the M/M shelf because those boys are the shit!
