I do love Sandra Brown. She's one of the authors that hooked me on reading romance all those years ago. I can't quite bring myself to spend the exorbitant amount that her publisher asks for her ebooks, so I always wait on a library copy to be available. This time, I got the audio before the ebook. The narration was fine, but it wasn't a sexy dude voice or a sultry, versatile woman. It was a somewhat unremarkable older guy, and his narration didn't add to my enjoyment.

The story itself is true to S.B. Alpha hero, supremely stoic and dry, almost a bad guy until he turns on the sexy. Heroine is strong willed and sometimes silly. In this case, the chapters that had me guessing were the best part of the book, and they came toward the end. It was arresting at times, it dragged a little in others. A nice read. Nothing spectacular for me.

Mei I've never listen to an audio, but I suppose that if the narrator is not excellent he/she coulld diminish the enjoyment of the book! :)
Nice rev, Nicole!

Duchess Nicole Thanks Mei!
