The Princess (Filthy Trilogy #2)

After learning of Harper's devastating secret, Eric is devastated himself. Still reeling from it, he saves her from a hired gun. Safe - for now - this pair has to work together to figure out who exactly wants them dead and to see past all of the Kingston lies.
The Bastard - Eric holds this title as a shield, hiding behind it, using it to excuse his actions and behaviors. He may be the 'bastard' son of the Kingston family, but he is no bastard. This man is so honorable and noble and caring. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and he's willing to do whatever it takes to protect his friends and the woman he loves. But can he resist falling in to old habits when it comes to his family?
The Princess - Harper wants to be everything that Eric needs. She wants to be part of everything he does. She wants to help take down whoever's after them and see that justice is served. It doesn't matter that she isn't equipped to take on killers. It doesn't matter that she is surrounded my marines and feds. Who cares that Eric is a total genius? She knows better than them. She can protect herself better than they can. I'm honestly wondering if she realizes she has no identity outside of the Kingstons. That without Eric, she has no purpose. Can you tell that she annoyed me?
Aside from wishing that this was told entirely from Eric's perspective, hating Harper, and finding out that it's a filthy trilogy and not a filthy duet, I'm totally on board to discover all of this story's hidden truths and find out what's really going on. LRJ has the amazing ability to completely hold me captive to her stories and keep me guessing and I love it. With one heck of a cliffhanger, where Harper is once again questioning Eric, I'm really looking forward to how this author will close out this couple's saga.
